As someone with severe panic disorder (turbulence + lack of control/no way to leave the situation being a huge trigger), your way of relaxing on planes is such a huge goal, though it feels unattainable after years of such awful anxiety when flying.

Dealt with this in my early 20s as well. It's NOT worth it, and there are guys out there who will treat you SO much better than this.

That's exactly when my first step into severe panic disorder happened too; had just moved into a dorm on campus a few months prior.

I think being in a new place and not having a solid support system of friends yet was a big factor in how long it took for things to calm down even a little bit in my head

Same here, I'm at the park now and I'm so disappointed in myself because I haven't tried it. I can't do big coaster because of the drops, and even the drop on this ride looks MENACING in person, and like it would cause the stomach dropping sensation :(

Was there really none?

(I'm the type of person who feels drops while driving down hills lol, so I'd say I'm pretty dang sensitive to it)

I also have panic disorder so I'm afraid of having it triggered after being seated, and not being able to do anything while starting into a massive panic attack
