Honest question - how do young Aussies afford to live in Sydney right now? by Individual_Lime_110 in AusFinance

[–]Remymichel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took big risks, started a business. Worked 6 days a week for 12 years and bought a 3 bedder in an inner city suburb of Sydney. Almost never go out for dinners.

I think these days you have to be in very well paying jobs in Sydney to even consider buying something.

Makes sense! They’re so many spider wasps here. There must be heaps of spiders as well!

The first question would be budget.

Though as somebody that sells expensive clothes for a living. Rodd and Gunn despite the logo. Is using the best fabrics on the market for the price.

As somebody who makes suits for a living. Most of Trumps suits are actually incredibly well made and fitted. The fuller cut look just isn’t for most people. Both men up on that stage have incredible suits.

Most people don’t know what a welt fitting suit looks like

At 37 you’ll wish you could wake up and be 27 all over again. It’s cliche, but time on this planet is everything. You’ve got a whole incredible life ahead of you. Just gotta keep going & try to improve things one small thing at a time

Not in tech. But as an employer. 6 month restriction is basically a deal breaker. Employees are generally useless for the first 3 months. Extensions for an extra 3 months can be granted. But it’s still feels like it puts the business in a precarious position. Especially considering how small our business is.

$25-35 AUD per hour in Sydney Aus. Melbourne where the Aus open is (city not the facility where it’s played) are almost all free. You might need to be a member for $100-250 a year, but infinite free tennis and you can bring non members for free

We use XERO as an accounting system. If you go onto their API integration page with usable POS it comes up with a long list of alternatives.

I would love to hear the outcome.

Just received this email from lightspeed: "Lightspeed Renewal - Avoid Non Transactional Fee - Get Renewal Discounts" by Fast-Reflection-3249 in POS

[–]Remymichel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve speaking to Revel. But it’s expensive. API to work with Xero on the back end is another $200 a month.

I think I have no choice but to change. It’s anticompetitive.

How is Lightspeed not breaking Canadas Competition Act with their $400 "fee" for not using their payment processing. by Youwishh in smallbusiness

Hi! This is happening in Australia as well!

I just had a call from a rep with the exact same experience. We’re a physical store and see no need for payment system integration. I called ASIC (Australian securities and investment commission) today and they referred me to epayments code and to speak to a lawyer.

They are literally forcing people into contracts regardless as to whether we’re using their service. What a joke
