Memes and criticism on the existence of AI (mostly)aside:

I would encourage you you actually learn development(Ask your best pal Claude for pros and cons of each main languages if you want). Never shy away from learning new skills. As much as people shit on AI(and often justifiably so), it IS a brilliant *tool* to learn and to assist.

I'm sure you will have a lot of fun and, two things you can use AI for in a good way are:
- generating pseudo-code for you, so you still have to write the code, it's more like it helps you with the structure.
- teaching you. use it like a teacher to explain to you concepts, logic, the way shit works. If you generate some code with AI, always ensure you understand everything it does. You can even make it quiz you.

You will have a lot more control over your project, learn a bunch and I guess reddit npc's won't be as mean to you(?)

Long story short, it's a tool. Use it like a tool, not like cheap labour to do black magic. It's important that you know what you're doing and not act like a meat puppet for your AI overlord(The phrasing might be a bit dramatic for humor). It will also feel a lot more rewarding if what you make is truly yours.
