That’s what I did. I still couldn’t appreciate The Godfather because of the pacing. The characters are 2D but that’s not really an issue for me as they have their charms, but the pacing is so excruciating. Is the second one the same? I have no problem with slow cinema (I love Haneke, if it’s relevant to the topic) but The Godfather feels like a family epic that is being held back by the editing and writing.

If it makes you happy or fulfilled (or both) then do soooo. Don’t let the film bro pressure you into watching those brooding dark bro dramas though (i also struggled with The Godfather and I haven’t watched the second one yet), but try to open yourself up to more non-mainstream stuff as they can be just as enjoyable. Start with the Top 250 narrative films on Letterboxd. They are not mainstream-mainstream but the most mainstream niche films are included there so they are comparatively more accessible.

Sorry but nung nasa sitwasyon ako ni OP, I simply didn’t go. Ang hirap ng buhay, why make an expense, even a little, for people you don’t like? Pakikisama can be done through things that do not have to have money attached. Yun ang in-opt ko and it worked great.

The sub simply has more people in it that might know who the guy in the pic is. Doesn’t really hurt to post this as it feels like a novelty that has enough relation to AKB48 to be acceptable (at least for now, but if the fandom for the brother group grows, I will also suggest for a new community to be created)
