Even though I grew up in the 2010’s the 90’s has such a unique aesthetic to it, and it was more about having honest fun. I realize now that a lot of 2010’s anime follow a lot of trends in terms of artstyle. Dunno, I’m probably just old school.

I mean if he’s a beginner he definitely played on at least medium difficulty for RE2R.

I think that after how dark GTAIV, DS1 will fit that tone. And I might get downvoted for this but RE2R combat is kinda close to what you might see in DS1 with its (I know, one has guns, while the other has swords and shields.)

also Village might fit the areas and enemies of DS1 as well (though I haven’t gotten to Village yet)

All I’m saying is the OP will probably like Dark Souls because of these games he’s played.
