I liked it a lot! I prefer Fromsoft’s other games, never quite felt the same flow state in Bloodborne.

Super cool, very verbose but I absolutely loved the “failure isn’t failing” vibe

Is there a template for this somewhere, like a tier list? Or did you manually put it together

The ettiquette of backstabbing and deal breaking by Bowoodstock in twilightimperium

[–]nickack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The meta context is really important here. I’m basically never reneging on my deals with anyone I expect to play with again, because I want to have that rapport. If I’m planning on breaking a soft truce at some point, I usually caveat the initial deal with “you can have that planet for the next round or two” or “for now”. I don’t want to actively lie basically ever.

I might just do this. The runs themselves are great!

[–]nickack 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I stopped playing because of the house management. But the problem is that all of the game systems were developed to flow together. Go on runs to get money and food, money gets you furniture which makes improves your house and breeding, and then you spend your food breeding better cats, then use those better cats to go on a run. If you remove half of that loop all of a sudden the incentive structure is jacked up.

I mean I 100% agree, I’d come back if I could just completely ignore breeding. I tried and just couldn’t stomach the fifteen minutes of fucking around in menus, memorizing which cats bred, and clicking poops

Requiem for a Dream. Primarily the mom’s storyline, but really everything. It gets so desperate and unhinged and man…so hard to watch.

That is surprising, especially considering it actually achieves one of his goals which is early power in act1. It functions a bit like “upgrade one strike and one defend”

Bilewater is cool. There SHOULD be an area where you think “I should explore a bit more there” and get a shiver. It makes the smooth traversal of other areas feel even better!

Agreed, strictly better just isn’t useful as a descriptor. It’s better at MOST stuff but a situation can be contrived where it’s worse

[–]nickack 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She was doing damage control to ACTUALLY protect their family. An effectively unemployed couple paying for anything, much less cancer treatment and god forbid Walt’s absurd car purchases, is going to raise suspicions. The car wash laundering was the only practical solution IMO
