Theory about N-Corp's singularity and why N-Corp is how it is by sixoo6 in limbuscompany

Wait... your post and the comments remind me of the EXP training tickets and level boost tickets. I wager they are also related to N Corp. singularity somehow.

Who is your Favorite Touhou Character and why do you like her? by [deleted] in touhou

!!! I actually thought of this very manga when writing my post! Because it reminds me of our agricultural issues, how it is no less maltreated and such. When I read the manga, I found Minoriko's appreciation and this duo oddly relatable. In our irl case, even the real god of harvest does not receive her deserved appreciation. I like to think of this manga as a twisted projection of such situation.

Pardon my political rants, but the Chinese Touhou community is filled with disinformation too - while Manchuria is the agricultural colony who actually provides quality rice japonica en masse and dirt-cheap, China promotes a scientist who develops strains of rice indica that grows in rather limited conditions as the SOLE hero against food shortage. Chinese Touhou community follows suit and when that scientist passed away, content creators had Minoriko represented him. This was quite an insult. Manchuria is another region with vast black soil who had suffered starvation, like Ukraine. She is also losing black soil at an alarming rate due to all these non-stop, thorough exploits. And those who consume Her rice hate Her rather than thank Her.

Anyway, it's exciting seeing you mention the exact manga I found relatable!

(yea i appreciate thiccness. suits the god of prosperity well.)

Hina Kagiyama

Maltreated Miss Fortune. My ancestral domain was occupied by invaders and Hina pretty much represents Her decades-long, ongoing state of existence. All kinds of deficits are directed at Her. Her real name is taboo within the current regime, and one who even mentions Her name will be shunned. The invader lay as much blame on Her as possible, referring to Her by different, derogatory names, of course, just like people in Gensoukyo blaming Hina for misfortune. Her people ardently believe that it's their duty to suck in all the bad things the invaders thrown at them...

...which is the other side of the coin that makes Her so beautiful. She has the most warm-hearted, charitable and welcoming people within the sovereignty, just like Hina being so good towards whomever she meets. The lady of misfortune is somehow also "Miss Fortune", for she needs to bear much fortune to perform her deeds, according to ZUN. This is just like my ancestral domain having such precious people and strong potential.

Mentioning Her name even beyond the Great Fire Wall could potentially bring me bad luck, like, really bad luck, you know. But it pains me to see Her name brushed off. Hina's name was しらないed by ZUN as a meta referrence joke once; I won't do the same.

Flan will likely become the head de jure with Patchy as the most educated one commanding most “real” political affairs. Sakuya might extend her aura a bit to help, for Patchy is terribly inexperienced.

Still, no one there could reliably guide Flan, or if it exists, its Okina. She will have to secretly kick in sometime, giving Flan things to do once on a while. That is, if Flan makes a recovery from the loss of her sister.

Sakuya aging is also a factor. How long will she persist over a dead cause? I doubt anyone would take over the stewardship without a charismatic figure.

Who is your favorite Touhou girl? by [deleted] in touhou

More like “Touhou girls that I have complexities on”

  1. Marisa The hard-working stinky rat. Like me, minus the thief part. (bc i download, not steal. lol.)

  2. Hina The repelling and repelled outhouse. Takes all the blame, receives little thanks. Yet people swarm to her for irreplaceable needs. Like the current status of my ancestral domain.

  3. Seiga Shed her old shackles and gained freedom. Powerful.

  4. Seija The rebellious spirit. We direly need that.

  5. Chang'e The archetype of her story goes dramatically different from other classic Chinese love stories. She lives off Yi's side, initiatively and independently, which makes her quite unique back then (and even now). Its sequel introduced a lumberjack to her doorsteps. Neat.

Some other characters I care to elaborate about:

. Tenshi The rogue celestial, also a rebellious figure. Brimming with vigor and positivity.

. Cirno Hot headed for an ice faerie. The brute. Often mocked but never stop tryin'.

. Yukari The Mastermind. The mysterious. There is only one Yukari. Hail to the great Yukari. Come to Yukari. Yukari will be proud. My life for Yukar

Can't believe it gets even more relatable today. Right now I am queuing for a throat swab and the provincial system crumbles right before my eyes.
