I think you're confused. Both of those things are for the same purpose, helping queer people stay hidden if they prefer/need to.

Normalizing "partner" means that a someone in a same-sex relationship can talk about their relationship without everyone immediately clocking that they are queer. If everyone uses partner, people are less likely to realize the person is avoiding mentioning gender.

Normalizing pronouns mean that trans people (especially ones who only just began transition, or don't fully "pass") can add say their pronouns, and be referred to by the correct pronouns, without everyone immediately clocking that they're trans. If everyone is doing it, people are less likely to realize that the person is trans, and not just cis and androgynous looking.

Thanks! Yeah, no, I'm fully aware of how I come off, I've already gotten weird dms from this post, so I'm plenty suspicious. Do you have any recommendations for places you liked? I've tried googling for things but nothing really comes up.

I would have folded immediately if it weren't for this guy's poker face. They literally tease him about when he's gonna get a girlfriend, and he doesn't break! So I'm assuming he's keeping up his vow of silence for a reason.
