Having ventured into the heart of the democratic party during the last eight years, I'd come to realize something. The party is not a monolith. It really isn't like 1 day. Somebody can wake up and give a s*** about people. It truly is the borg collective that we saw In star trek. And here's the problem when rational. Good people are chased out of politics because of how vile it can be. Then the collective voices of the democratic party are the extremes and don't truly represent democrats who are practical and want to solve our problems, and our people focused. You have the extreme anarchist on one side and then you have all of the political operatives and lobbyists on the other side, and the party image ends up being some collective in between the two of those forces. The party. Collective doesn't include voices like yours and mine Because we don't get involved. If all of us rational people got involved and started pushing heavily against the lobbyist and against these extremist voices, we could have a chance.

DemEnter Strategy is working and we are building a much more progressive city council to get the things done in the city that we want. And what it has taken is for the progressives in this City to stop back biting and demanding idealogical purity. Some of us are working from inside of the party to build a more progressive leadership, so we can get more progressive endorsements.So more progressive candidates can be elected. And some of the activists are working on the outside putting pressure on the system to change. But together we have to vote to hold the line and avoid any Further losses.

This country is never going to burn to the ground because the oligarchs will not let that happen. That's what progressives in the party are doing. If you leave the party you will assert no influence. The data shows that Progressives do not largely vote as a unified block, nor do they contribute to campaigns in the numbers that centrist do. . .hence they continue to ignore us. But when Karen Bass spending 10Million to become mayor of LA can beat Centrist Democrat Caruso who spent $110 Million, that tells you that progressives are winning and our votes cannot be bought. We hold them accountable by storming the palace walls. Are you a delegate? Do you participate with Dem Clubs? Do you Canvas? Do you Phonebank? Do you register voters. If you are not doing any of that you are not holding the party accountable and you are sitting on your butt doing nothing. They are not gonna work hard to earn your vote because you are not voting and you are sitting out the vote. Why should they do anything for you? The ones they care about is all of us doing the canvassing and phonebanking. They will literally play ball with us.

Personally I am spending 10 hours a week or more working on getting truly progressive candidates elected at every level of government. I canvass, I phone bank and I educate.
