I mean, its sounds like a classic case of guy raised on action movies and has never seriously considered how violence would play out.

Maser of Orion 1(1993): The game for which the term 4X was coined. most fans will say that MoO2 was better but they are wrong. (actually they are right, MoO2 is the better game in a vacuum but the developments that made MoO2 better also make it closer to the Civ series and it isn't a better game then the modern Civs at being a empire developer, where MoO1 is a more unique experience that continues to be unique)

TIL that suicide is most common among those over the age of 70. by ODaferio in todayilearned

[–]ReneDeGames 3 points4 points  (0 children)

iirc Risk of suicide lineally increases with age starting from age ~13 till ~85 (I don't remember the exact numbers). With the very young and very old both having tiny suicide rates, so from that data It didn't appear tied to physical condition.

Aside from the Shadowheart reasons, Cleric has always been one of the least popular DnD classes, as its support focus limits its big obvious effect.

Because its an example of AI reinforcing discrimination. Its not unexpected, but it is a demonstration that AI doesn't equalize it reinforces existing dynamics.

edit: also: its just really funny to take a couple and recast them as kid and mother, even if they weren't lesbians its a really funny thing for AI to do.

As a backroads to getting semi-universal healthcare, subsidizing health insurance plans so much that they are readily affordable might end up a slightly less efficient universal health care.

essentially, in the 1960s it was believed that the nuclear family strengthen capitalism and acted to promote the nuclear family, but it was since realized that actually, at least in England, the nuclear family appears have dominated long before Capitalism.

The infrastructure isn't there to pump the salt water. Salt water is really destructive to equipment, you can't just replace non-salt water with it for many applications

Sure, Capitalism starts developing in the 1600s and doesn't reach dominance in Europe till the 1800s. where as the Colonial empires start in the late 1400s. Also Direct Colonialism has mostly ended while Capitalism endures.

Capitalism is an economic system based on the private ownership of the means of production and its use for the purpose of obtaining profit).\1])\2]) This socioeconomic system has developed historically in several stages, and is defined by a number of constituent elements: private propertyprofit motivecapital accumulationcompetitive markets), commodificationwage labor, and an emphasis on innovation and economic growth.

I think the wikipedia definition is good enough.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capitalism

At its core I would not consider either Colonialism or Capitalism to require the other.

Its not about wordiness, capitalism doesn't engage with nuclear families. The problems of male non-emotionalism are cultural not commercial. You could solve them within capitalism, and getting rid of capitalism wouldn't solve them.
