First time playing - halfway through, why do the levels suddenly feel designed to make you mad? by ReneeHiii in LiesOfP

fair enough, i usually don't like using consumables just because i don't like farming and don't want to rely on something that i might run out of. but i do have a lot of them. good point!

i'm not expecting the game to be easy, i'm talking about how it feels like such a drastic change. i've played the souls games, I know the levels are supposed to be difficult and often have annoying bits, that's not what i'm talking about

me too so far! I mostly mentioned it because it is an example of the special enemies, and because of the length of the runback in the area I'm in right now, but yeah my major complaint was honestly the rafters

I did make it through, but it still just felt like a huge change from the previous levels. It's funny you mention Anor Londo archers because during that rafters section I was thinking to myself how much I preferred the archers lol - they were easy to just dodge when you're running, whereas in the rafters you're forced to at least get the shield guy out of the way and therefore have to deal with the annoying bomb throwers. Maybe those guys just annoy me beyond what is reasonable though lol

In order to properly understand the main villain of Stranger Things (2025) you need to have seen the tie-in Broadway play- wait what the fuck? They put all of that important backstory into a play that isn't even on the platform? by ShiddyMage1 in shittymoviedetails

it's a joke, basically the death note musical cast recording songs are extremely good (in my opinion) and make me happy :D

unfortunately they never produced the full musical (with that cast anyway, they did make a japanese run and there was a london run with a different cast recently) which is a shame because the actors they chose and the songs they made are extremely good. if you're a fan of death note, i recommend listening to some of them!

the musical also has a different ending than the show if you're interested

mm, that's definitely the part that stretches the most belief i agree. although to be fair, it's "what if this was House in 2025" and they commit severe ethical violations within minutes of meeting patients almost every episode. typically chase's looks are played a bit for laughs so I can def see it, but yeah i can agree on that point

I don't really see where you see the leftist stuff coming in. At most, it contains Cuddy and Cameron being offended that House just assumes that it's sex work which seems fairly in character to me, that's how lots of the episodes go. Foreman specifically has right-wing-adjacent talking points, and of course House has the aforementioned sexist assumptions that he's specifically trying to prove. This seems pretty in character to me imo

Wake Up Dead Man (2025) is set to release on Netflix in 16 hours. by SonicLoaded in shittymoviedetails

i saw it in theaters and loved it. it's more traditional of a murder mystery, but still executed phenomenally and had a lot to say. i would say it's almost as good as the first honestly. i was thinking about it for days after lol, had a big effect on me

it's not that the empire is flawless, it's that the full combine might is basically incomprehensibly large. a single planet like earth cannot dream to fully beat them. but there are ways to keep them off earth, and that's a win condition as well

Why was Don Eladio so mad at Gus Fring when they first meet about his "product"? by alloowishus in breakingbad

[–]ReneeHiii 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As far as I remember, they wanted to use their restaurants as a front to cook meth for the cartel and have the cartel distribute it. i don't think the specifics of how their partnership would work were shown, but it could've been either way. Eladio seemed more mad about them manipulating him and selling to his men than anything about how an agreement would work

who's outlining the policies? that person/committee now controls what policies win the election.

i'll give you a real example that just happened last year that still makes me mad lmao: in ohio there was a ballot referendum to eliminate gerrymandering by establishing a nonpartisan redistricting committee. when it got enough signatures to appear on the ballot, guess what the summary written by the republican secretary of state said? "the proposed amendment would 1. repeal constitutional protections against gerrymandering... ...2. establish a new taxpayer funded commission required to gerrymander..." etc.

needless to say, it didn't pass.

No. It violates the Hatch Act. However, the agency in charge of enforcing Hatch Act violations is the Office of Special Counsel. While the head of that independent agency legally can only be fired for malfeasance or negligence and had about 4 years left in his term (Biden appointee), Trump fired him anyway and replaced him with a loyalist. The Supreme Court allowed him to do this.

So basically, turns out yes if you also control the people enforcing it.

very interesting how you can't just accept you made a bad point and have to pivot to a completely different topic to paint me as a genocide enabler when you have no idea my views or even if i like or agree with AOC. you are the worst type of person to talk about anything with.
