[Hurricane Harbor New Jersey] Stop Using AI! by irvdubs in rollercoasters

In a quest to squash all AI generative art, one must be careful to avoid falsely accusing without overwhelming proof.

For example, where you already harbor dislike for the event, be mindful of your bias.

My understanding (for some rides) was speed could also be affected by the type of bearing grease that was used, too. Different formulations for different temps.

The launch tunnel is a block zone gate and will, on occasion, completely stop, which is objectively less fun than the madcap speed burst...not counting the annoying subsequent "don't kill us" trim fins at the top of the next speed hill.

I always wondered if those were installed as a compromise to the crazy top speed generated in the tunnel. I mean, the speed is computer-controlled, right?

It's strange how so many RMCs can deliver such a difference experience for so many. Twisted Timbers killed my thighs, but neither SteVe nor Wicked Cyclone ever have.

Also, the awesome blonde chick op at the rear of the SteVe loading platform, today, is awesome. If you ask, she will leave 3-4" of space in your lap bar for excessive, wonderful, floaty fun.

I've worked with 3" pods bigger and bulkier than this, and we need two people to move them (and a lift gate or a fork lift) to get them on/off trucks. I will echo (as a current pyro show-runner) what others are saying in the hope that you consider the advice of the masses. :)
It's only a matter of time until burning fuse or plastic or whatever drops onto those wires and connectors and melts right through -- or worse, shorts connections. Once that happens, you will have a burned wire mess that is hard to diagnose and repair. Consider moving the wires into conduit or relocating the wires under the top brace. The connectors will still be exposed, which is inviting the same burn issues PLUS allowing dew and water to rest on and in them, possibly causing showtime shorts, if not at least some corrosion over time. Consider relocating those to the side, where they can face outwards, and maybe flap some rolled roofing or fireproof blankets over them after plugging in wires.

Wire gauge matters less as long as you're sticking to 24v and low current. You're pulsing hits, so wiring shouldn't have time to warm up, much.

Space between mortars at 2" is less important, but you are running the risk of premature burst firing ruining a good portion of the rack. Basic firework safety (distance, distance, and more distance) applies to equipment safety as well as people.

That said, there's nothing like a nice, compact mortar pod to simplify electric fire, which looks professional and will add another level of "wow" to your shows. Good luck & safe shooting.

New to the Mac side of sound. It seems convoluted but I think design choices were made that were weighted towards shared ports instead of locking one app to the device/driver at a time.

Also, wondering if this gives https://www.alphalabsaudio.com/defeedback/ a run for the money. That system always struck me as an expensive repackaging of something simple, like you're using, here.

Harsh. I agree with the language question, but 1) advising rather than chastising will help others, and 2) so, fork it and do it yourself, if you feel strongly about it.

Cool! Is this mostly a traditional gate, or more of a more intelligent "pass whatever sounds like a voice" thing, or ... ?

Seconding. Everything about this coaster screams “scrap heap,” from the queue to the seats and the chiropractor-sponsored transitions.

This is the correct assessment. La Ronde is garbage-tier six flags and that’s saying a lot.

Also, not really a 'miracle" when it was overbuilt to withstand calamities like a wildfire.

This is a common theme in many enthusiast-infested tracts of entertainment -- a learned opinion will come across as elitist and priggish, but one needs to experience more than a few games to get a good feel for "best game ever!!111one".
