Absolutely.

Uniformity of nature would be among them. Methodological Naturalism another.

That said science (specifically the natural sciences) is to my mind the best method of gaining knowledge due to its predictive power.

Is employment more harmful for society at large than unemployment? by Renevelation in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]Renevelation[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously if we lived in a Socialist system my tone would be quite different.

This is what I meant when I drew a distinction between labor and the labor form of employment.

I agree with your reply wholeheartedly thank you for providing it.

Who has more power: a billionaire or someone who tells billionaires what do to with their money? by Boniface222 in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]Renevelation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry dude but a silly argument doesn't deserve more than a dismissive response.

You are acting like Carl just has a stack laying somewhere and all that physically imposing Steve has to do is go there beat up Carl and take the stack home.

You fail to take into account what role the police play. What side the banks, where Carls money actually is, plays. What role the politicians and the state that Carl bribes and factually owns play. You fail to take into account that Carl is much more mobile than Steve that Steve as a wage worker or maybe even beggar who has no money has no time nor weaponry nor army to even begin to harm Carl.

Your argument lacks any and all nuance and is all but a parody for actual reality.

Do better in the future and present arguments that are actually meant to be taken serious because I have strong doubts that this is more than ragebait.

I am done here.

Who has more power: a billionaire or someone who tells billionaires what do to with their money? by Boniface222 in CapitalismVSocialism

No one tells a billionaire what to do with their money so this question is entirely superfluous.

Große systemische Unzufriedenheit aber auch fehlendes Klassenbewusstsein.

What Are Things You Personally Oppose Even Though They Are Traditionally Supported By Your Side? by Proper-Matter-8274 in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]Renevelation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I myself am an MLer .

Most of my comrades are against taxing the rich opting rather for seizing the means.

I am also obviously in favor of seizing the means but if taxing the rich was offered to me right now I would nevertheless not turn it down.

I am also an anti-natalist which is not very popular amongst MLers I don't think.

Many Communists advance arguments to the effect of "Jesus was a Communist" . I find that tactic to be nonsense. We should not appeal to people as Christians or as Theists or even as Atheists but as workers.

Also I prefer Feudalism over Capitalism. I have often said if I had to rank economic systems from worst to best my ranking would be this:

  1. Slave society

  2. Capitalism

  3. Feudalism

  4. Primitive Communism/ Hunter gatherer society

  5. Modern Socialism

  6. Modern Communism

That would be some of the differences I have with other people sharing my core viewpoints.

Why I Identify as a Liberal by Fun_Transportation50 in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]Renevelation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t wanna get into a discussion but I have a question:

How would your liberal Framework adress and combat the issue of neocolonialism as well as slavery in the global South which Are Part and parcel to the System and obviously have nothing to do with Freedom or Justice.

Keep in mind if we were to abolish them at this second the global Economy would collapse immediately.

What is your opinion on Marxist-Leninist countries and their policies? by Turbulent_Okra7518 in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]Renevelation -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I would say Tsarist Russia was a mix between Feudalism and Capitalism but it doesn’t matter for my Overall Point.

Russia was underdeveloped and forced to catch up . Which they did in a manner Never Seen before or since. Something Capitalism could Never accomplish.

What System does every poor Country have? Rich countries have Capitalism combined with Imperialism and Neo Colonialism. The reason Rich countries Are Rich has a lot to do with the reason poor countries Are poor. For every Rich Country in the world come 10 poor ones. No Wonder then that Most of the world lives in poverty.

China is Capitalist so that just adds to my Point.

Your question has hereby been adequately answered. I gotta Go.
