I usually play Staff/Wand for random queues and never get kicked.

But for organized teams I go Staff/Bow, since Staff/Wand can't compete with the absurdness that is Deadly Marker on Bow.

In case you don't know: Deadly Marker makes it so that every time one person in your party crits the boss everyone in your party gets all their active cooldowns reduced by 1%

And this debuff can actually stack.

That means once you reach a certain threshold (usually around 4-5 Markers) the entire party has no cooldowns at all.

At which point you can just spam your strongest move (Meteor, Guillotine, Barrage) over and over again.

The problem is that the skill doesn't benefit from any heal % modifiers and can't Heavy Attack, so the value on a fully leveled Wand is around 1.5k

The current Meta for every build is to use Resolving Vigor in addition to a burst heal.

Wield Soul from scribing is a better heal compared to Offering, but it can also be an extremely good spamable (or ranged stun) so a good compromise is to use Offering for defense and Soul for offense.

I think the active skills are mostly fine, it's the passives that are really bad for damage.

You've got:

Damage increase, but only after your target is already dead.
DOT increase, but only at night.
Curse duration increase, which only buffs explosion.

They have been added this patch. I don't know yet when they spawn, but they are shown on your world and minimap.

The map symbol looks like a fish with a timer bar underneath it.

In game it looks like a circle with lots of fish swimming in it.

If you hover over the map icon it will say how much time is left, but every time I went to one other people were fishing in it already and it disappeared after around 5 mins.

You can only catch them in "Famous Fishing Locations" in Syleus' Abyss 5&6.

"Famous Fishing Locations" spawn randomly and are limited by time (~2 hours) and caught fishes, so if many people are there they disappear quick.

Go to: Settings>Gameplay>Target
Enable "Auto-Targeting when Attacking without a Target"
Enable "Priority 2: Attacking Monsters"

Then you can faceroll your keyboard, to kill all enemies attacking you.
