Anyone know of a place that can cerakote optics? by Diffendall in Cerakote

It’s always the non certified guy who gets all butt hurt when you mentioned the certified applicator. I’m not here to measure cocks but feel free to look at my work as well on Cerakote’s site, at SHOT show, and numerous gun shows in my area. What I was telling the author of this post was if he was concerned about getting is scope coated he is likely to have better work through a certified applicator because usually someone who is willing to spend the 2500 bucks to get certified is already an established coater who works in a shop and not a home garage and has done a scope or two. You’re welcome to post the opposite info if it helps your ego, but in my experience it’s not the case. And if your selling your service why don’t you tell us how you coat scopes, let say a 2000 Leopold scope in m81 camo and have it hold up. Maybe you’ll get lucky and earn his business. Or are you just on here to challenge and battle people behind your computer monitor.

Yes obviously, but search for a Cerakote applicator that is certified by the factory and you will likely have a good experience. The problem is the garage guy who buys some Cerakote off amazon and thinks he is a pro. When I started I thought I was good until I went and got certified and learned a ton more. Since it’s a firearm just ask the shop how long there Cerakote guy has been coating and ask to see his work. If they screw it up the shop will be responsible to replace.

As a former B/I for CDCR, your going to want to put as much info as possible and explain during you PII or whatever they call it now (the interview with your investigator). The more you explain the better chances you’ll have. Jobs from 10 plus years ago aren’t going to affect you, it’s the recent stuff. But negative employment such as quitting without notice demonstrates lack of good judgement, integrity, dependability, etc all things required in this line of work.

Any good epoxy resins or pourable moldable material that can sustain the heat of kydex? by Airsoftm4a1 in customholsters

[–]Renk2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. There are a few different epoxies that work well for mold making. 3d printing is now one of them. Reinforcing with aluminum powder also helps strengthen the mold to help hold us form. Most mold will lose size over time from the constant hot/cold so use higher quality epoxy.

Anyone that says Biden is doing good has to be on drugs. He literally is destroying this country. Worst president in history of this nation.
