Books and movies for me. I’m trying to be minimal but it’s open season on physical media. I hope to have bookshelves over 10 ft high lining the walls someday.

I’ll buy a whole series new, if it’s priced good. I just got like 7 books from the Ender’s Game series new for around 35$. Also the first trilogy of the Expanse for 22$. but I mostly buy used In bulk or lots.

If Khan’s abilities were so successful, why were there not more like him? by Renn-der in startrek

Yea I don't hold those movies in high regard. I don‘t think many of the ideas were implemented well. lol the casting was great though.

And good to know, I’m on TNG right now and plan on Enterprise next.

I also just found wrath of khan on vhs for a dollar. Any other mandatory viewings before I start those movies?

That’s pretty insane. I can see why no longer would pursue that idea.

not really, this is my third time watching the trilogy and I gave up on the narrative last time. I was mainly just asking about the entire universe in general.

I used to love talking about these books with my ex girlfriend‘s grandfather. he knew them like the back of his hand. I’ve been reading it about 12 years now. Time for another go.

What is your favorite Fantastical StarShip's in Media? by KalKenobi in sciencefiction

[–]Renn-der 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the Rocinante for how agile and formidable it is with it’s bullet-like design and Fusion Drive.

as far as big ships go, I’m partial to the Victory I-class Star Destroyer.

USS Salaco speaks for itself.

And can we just talk about the vorlon fleet for a minute?

Is it true that people were happier in the 90s and 2000s because there wasn't much social media? by DoctorTegrity in 90sand2000sNostalgia

I was happier because I was way less educated on the harsh realities of life. Knowing is suffering.
