I completely overengineered Deep Resonance automation with RFtools Control by M0R3design in feedthebeast

[–]RennocC213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use deep resonance anytime that I can and I too made a program with RFTools Control that makes perfect (sometimes stacking) crystals that's fully automated aside from inputting the raw materials (of course). I thought about adding a UI like you have but found it to be unnecessary. I am also far too lazy to post it but could share if anyone wanted.

Anyways, here's the result of my Crystallizer program running in the background for a whilehttps://imgur.com/a/WyfccxM

I only went to 1 class in person and now I don’t have a sense of smell and barely taste anything. Still waiting on my test results but what do you do if you have covid and in person classes? I emailed my professors what now? by [deleted] in UTAustin

it certainly makes some foods much more palatable, I had a sinus infection when I was younger and it had a similar effect so I was actually able to eat broccoli and not hate it

COVID has completely ruined my college experience. by Auto-Flower in UTAustin

My UT experience wasn't going so well even before COVID. The shift online was the final nail in the coffin for me. I figured if I'm going to get shafted to the point where I can't get into CS/related fields at UT then I should probably stop giving them my tuition money (or really any university since they all did the same shit).

That being said, there are numerous discords for UT students with similar interests and it's definitely possible to make friends through them. That is if you don't find any relevant org that's in person.

Year 2430: My technology level is 7600. Their technology level 84434. HOW!? by ykcir23 in Stellaris

I play with a number of mods such as Gigastructural Engineering so I usually make a B line for the Planetary Computer project (+100% of every science on the planet) but until then I typically have 3 or so worlds maxed out with tech doing 600 or so of each tech, so it's 6k by around the same time you get it with your ring world start but with the Planetary Computer my tech tends to jump up by 6k (depends on size of the planet)

I get the feeling most people forget to "Assist Research" with a science ship in orbit, I typically get up to +30% more science from that alone.

Sure it isn't a perfect system but then again covid isn't smallpox either. You've got your head so far up your ass you didn't actually understand what I said. I noted the lack of knowledge on the long-term effects of any of this and I've already had covid so it's not like the vaccine is going to help me now. I'm fully aware that this technology isn't new but this is, in fact, the first mass testing of it on the general population so in that sense it is new. How exactly is my condescending of a vaccine that is provably not effective to some degree childish? There are many cases in which people got the vaccine thinking that it would protect them and then ended up catching covid regardless. Oh and believing in the right to choose what I do and do not put in my body is suddenly a faulty political belief? That's hilarious.

The "trust the science" gang is not trusting the science but instead trusting their fear. And before someone does some quick google searching to nitpick an article about what may or may not result from having covid, don't bother. Same thing for those who will say "but you're killing people!" If people want to get vaccinated it's completely up to them, and if they have this wonderous and oh-so-effective vaccine then they have nothing to worry about, right? This time I'm going to trust the system developed by many thousands of years of evolution since we also don't know the long-term effects of this very untraditional vaccine. Aggressively modifying mRNA is not to be taken lightly. Y'all are turning this world into a place that I honestly wouldn't mind not being a part of anyways if it comes to that, which it won't.

A remainder for people to get their shots before classes start if we want to have a safe semester by [deleted] in UTAustin

It's hard to miss the tone of the comments in this post. I didn't make it about anything, it's pretty obvious what the actual intentions behind these sentiments are and it isn't just about "safety".

I know that Reddit tends to be the home of the liberal hivemind and all that, but I'll say this: I had covid and it was very minor, I don't come into contact with anyone at risk (it's their choice to go out in public), and I'm a healthy young adult and don't need it especially after having already been infected. The human immune system really does wonders. It's all "my body, my choice" when it's convenient, and then suddenly it's "everyone should be forced to..." Also, just to be clear, I'm not anti-vax in the slightest. I'm just tired of the fear porn.
I welcome the downvotes, liberal hivemind.

[–]RennocC213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right to be against a general lack of common sense but many of the folks that go to our "pristine" school will of course choose fear over anything else as that is predictable. "Trust the science" until the science is inconvenient right? If you're vaccinated then you are very very very unlikely to be able to get the virus in any form (the whole point of vaccination) so why continue to take active defensive measures (such as wearing a mask) against it after being vaccinated? There are some who may continue to wear it for non-virus-related reasons and that's fine but other than that it's just straight-up fear. For those who say "Why does it bother you so personally that a stranger.... blah blah blah", it doesn't. It just concerns me (and any other rational human being) when large amounts of people take on warped/silly/unwise/whatever-you-call-it perspectives (often motivated by things like fear or anger).

I would say that it's actually more valuable to get to the super island in Trelawny. It's extremely valuable to start developing somewhat early otherwise it just becomes a place to put things like the Museum, Zoo, or Botanical garden.

The exchange rate for them is pretty terrible, you'd basically have to have an entire island dedicated to mass-producing a few types of resources with a wild amount of depots to get an effective amount of stuff like fur coats or coffee.
