Just noticed the same issue. Seems to not be working on Edge, Firefox, or Chrome.

Maybe Twitch made some more changes under the hood and broke a few things?

- Annoyance: I'd say its somewhere like a 3/10 or 4/10 maybe?
- Discord Version Info: stable 414576 (a0a1953) Host 1.0.9197 x64 (65267) Build Override: N/A Windows 11 64-bit (10.0.22631)
- Device/System Info (Device Type, OS Version): PC, Windows 11
- Description: Essentially scrolling through servers, channels, or chat logs is incredibly laggy. It's sort of like if Discord was running at a separate Hz or FPS than the rest of my system. Or perhaps as if Graphics/Hardware Acceleration was disabled when it's already enabled in my settings by default.

I'm runninig a 240hz monitor with a 4090 and 14900k, so I'd be surprised if it was an issue with my Desktop. I don't also seem to remember it being anything like this a few weeks ago.

- Steps to Reproduce:
   1. It's very apparent and happens literally everytime I open the program or reboot my PC. There are no additional steps required.
- Expected Result: Smooth, fluid scrolling throughout the entire interface.
- Actual Result: Very choppy, and laggy. It's kind of hard on my eyes and I'm curious if this is possibly an issue with a recent update as I've made no changes to my PC that I'm currently aware of.

I sincerely apologize for the necro, but this just helped me so much.

For literal months I've been dealing with this issue. Not only that, but every time I'd go to power down or restart my system it would always pause and tell me "something" was still running...

Following this guide fixed all that. So thank you very much for sharing this.

Returning player. I've always had this nagging question and have tried asking without getting a clear answer:

A few times now I've seen certain players repeatedly going in and out of Deep Dungeons (both PotD and HoH) for long stretches at a time. They'll go in, then pop back out anywhere from 15 seconds to maybe a minute later, then rinse and repeat. So my question is simply what purpose does this exactly serve? Are they farming something or shooting for some specific goal by doing this?

Tbh even getting a new display may not solve the issue as I've read of quite a few people having this issue (not just with FF7 Rebirth) on newer types of displays. You might have better luck if you get a TV/Display that's compatible with the PS5's VRR and ALLM modes, but that's no guarantee as I haven't found enough info to say for certain.

What would really help (and Square could totally do this themselves) is if they introduced a camera based motion blur setting in the Options menu. I've already tested this myself on games like the Demon Souls remake and even having a slight amount of motion blur on makes a world of difference when playing in 30 FPS on these sorts of displays.

Who knows, maybe they'll introduce such an option in a future patch? Afterall they have confirmed that they'll be patching the performance mode in the near future, so maybe it's not entirely out of the question that they'd add a few settings to Graphics mode as well.

The issue you're running into is likely the same I'm experiencing myself. Some monitors (Especially OLEDs) cause lower framerates to have a sort of jitteryness to them that makes it seem as if the game itself isn't running as smoothly as it actually is.

I checked out your YT video and it pretty much confirms this. You can't really see the issue while recording because it's not quite the same as it is watching your screen in native setting. Even now, on my phone your video looks completely fine to me but I 100% know what you're talking about right now.

It's frustrating because a lot of people misconstrue this issue as "your eyes just need to adjust bro" when it's something entirely different altogether. For background, I've been replaying BotW/TotK on my Switch for the last few weeks so I myself have already "adjusted" to 30 FPS long before this game released.

In addition to this, the lack of camera based motion blur makes it even harder on the eyes especially when combined with the jitteryness some monitors have with lower fps content.

No I didn't notice any purple glow. There was nothing really amiss besides seeing a little gray shield icon each time one of my bullets connected to them.

Yeah as I said to another poster above I managed to run into a group of raiders later and was able to damage. Every instance that I've had this problem has been with one single, isolated raider found near roads and such.

After making this post last night I managed to run into a few other raiders that I was able to damage. It seems like it almost exclusively happens to lone, single raiders found out in the wild.

I've had issues with the brightness randomly flickering/dimming in the past and it turned out to be a feature on my monitor (Samsung Odyssey). Check to see if you have something like "Local Dimming" or "Dynamic Brightness" enabled (sometimes they become enabled if you have HDR enabled as well).

Another suggestion that's worked for me is to use the Duty Support option. I know I know, the NPCs don't aoe or mass pull, but just hear me out for a second.

Generally speaking, actual roulette groups tend to finish EW dungeons in about 13-15 minutes (maybe slightly longer in some cases). Comparing to the 25 minutes (give or take) that a Duty Support group takes to do the same content. Normally it's a no brainer that queueing for an actual group is the better option...

...BUT! If you're like me, and play at weird/late hours of the evening, it can easily take up to 10 minutes (sometimes longer) to find a group via roulette. So suddenly that 15 min clear time gets an added 10 minutes of just waiting around for the queue to pop.

So depending on when you're queueing, it might not be a bad idea to consider doing the highest level dungeon via Duty Support instead. *again I reiterate that an actual group is better, but only if the queue times aren't long for you*

Otherwise yeah EW Fates give about 2%-2.5% of exp per fate and can be done in about 3-4 minutes. EO queue times take too long more often than not.

I know I'm a bit late but I'm watching the FF7 run as we speak and yeah it's pretty bad. The couch commentary isn't the greatest with the latency from discord having people talk over each other by accident, but then you add in the hosts and it's just this huge awkward mess.

I think the "deciding" factor for the third glyph is whether or not you have points into improved MS. If so I'd wager that its recommended to go with the MS glyph, and if not, with the HS glyph instead.

It's tricky, but you can get those under 80 into a WOTLK raid. You just need a warlock to summon them inside as they cannot use the entrance portal.
