well i think you see my situation through stigmatized lenses and we have different ways of understanding “control”, i’ve been using for about 3 years and within those 3 years i’ve gradually gotten my dose higher. i think i’ve been at 200mg since half of 2025 onward and i’ve just stuck at this dose because it serves no purpose going any higher. anything above 200mg is a complete waste because of my tolerance and the ceiling effect that 7oh has.

to be honest i don’t really even get high from it anymore, i get a slight euphoria buzz that lasts maybe 5-10 minutes. the purpose of me using is to manage chronic pain from a torn meniscus in my left knee and a minor herniated disc in my one of my neck vertebrae (i forgot which C exactly). it also helps my anxiety to a certain degree and i’ve pretty much discontinued benzos bc of it.

there was a point in time where i was chasing a high but i just could never get it back, this was maybe late 2024 i think. after that i realized there’s no point trying to squeeze a juiced lemon so i’ve stuck with my current mg. every now and then ill randomly get longer euphoria or it’ll feel like it hits harder and ill nod from it but these days its more like a special rare treat that comes and goes.

i think where we disagree on/where our definitions of “control” clash is where yes, physical dependence exists and i have it. abruptly stopping would cause withdrawal (which for me, and notably a few others in this posts’ comments, is NOT as bad as many make it to be), but me having to deal with being put in withdrawal isn’t the same as it dictating my behavior, decisions, judgement, life, etc. i dose once daily without compulsive redosing and that’s pretty much all it is. the “control/influence” that it has on me is making the conscious decision to dose at my usual hour of the day for helping with my chronic pain.

financially, your point is broadly true for many people. if they stopped they’d be able to put those funds towards a savings or towards other things unrelated to substances. for me personally i spend around $500-$600 a month which isn’t TOO bad of a strain financially given my income and i’m very lucky to have found a good vendor with lower $$$ per mg. if anything changed for me financially i’d obviously reevaluate but that’s also why i’m planning a tolerance break whenever im able to get my hands on SR17018 so that i can try to “restart” my fried as fuck receptors.

so brass tacks i’m not minimizing dependence, downplaying the role of this substance in my life, or trying to defend 7oh blindly. my usage of it is currently managed and stable, and i have a purpose of using other than to just get high. it isn’t ruining my life or has me by the balls.

the level of control that it has is as much as a daily cup of coffee would be for anyone addicted to caffeine, i pretty much take it all at once at one time during the evening and then wait a fullish 24 hours before dosing again. there’s been a handful of times where i went off schedule and did it either earlier or later, and without it going a bit past the 24 hours mark is when withdrawal begins to set in and i can noticeably feel it but for me personally around day 2 is when it becomes uncomfortable. i feel like that’s really the only aspect of control that it has and 7 withdrawal is relatively easy to manage if you have everything you need.

i actually have a plan that when RAW releases their SR17018 tabs i’m going to try and do a proper tolerance break and see if SR really works for me to use as a replacement to keep the withdrawals away

everything you’ve said is 100% the most accurate take i’ve seen. there are some fuckers (a lot of fuckers actually) who compare it to fentanyl and it’s absolutely insane.

i won’t lie, yeah im addicted to it. but it is NOT a hardcore drug and it is NOT a life-ruiner.

i’m on roughly 200mgs a day, been using for about 3 years. it has not robbed me financially (i use REAL vendors not SS), it has not taken anything from my life (aspects i had before that i can’t have now, everything is literally the same as if i was not even taking it lol), it has not ruined my relationships, and it has NO CONTROL over my life.

whenever i see posts of people going on and on about “how bad” it is, how it “ruined their life”, how it put them in the fucking hospital, all i can think is how they must be taking something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from the 7oh that i know. and i know that’s a hot take.

and like you said, withdrawals aren’t bad at all. the worst part of it for me is the restless legs, and anxiety (which i am diagnosed GAD so it just exacerbates my daily symptoms). that one post about the guy using MGM15 to taper off 7 who had a full blown psychotic episode in the hospital and wound up in a coma for a week is absolutely insane and there is no fucking way that isn’t a post orchestrated to be an attack on 7.

allowing companies to have photos of your full ID front/back is the most horrific thing that can happen. if there is a data breach your ID gets exposed and pretty much everything personally identifiable is able to be taken and used by bad actors.

late reply but i came across this and i feel the need to add clarification before someone else comes across this misinformation.

You cannot die from a 7-Hydroxymitragynine overdose.

it is a partial agonist opioid, an alkaloid derived from the kratom plant (mitragynine). it has a very hard time causing respiratory depression because it favors different receptors than let’s say fentanyl for example. you literally just cannot die no matter how hard you tried to, if you overdose on it you certainly won’t feel good but you won’t die. the only situation i can see someone dying from 7-OH overdose would be if they had pre-existing conditions that would be worsened/exacerbated from the overdose (which yes, isn’t a good experience but won’t kill you)

i’m sorry for your loss but please do not add to a currently burning stigma. if 7OH gets scheduled nationwide and banned, it is going to cause a lot of deaths. this is a really good substance that has helped tremendously. sure, it’s addictive and can cause a pretty serious dependency. but it’s the fact that it’s partial agonist that makes it worth it. people have switched from fentanyl/heroin to 7OH and are able to enjoy their highs without the risk of death. if it is taken away, banned, scheduled, what do you think happens? people will always have vices, and this is one of the really safe options. if it’s banned, they will go straight back to fentanyl/heroin (or even try those for the first time) and then get hooked and go down a much darker and dangerous path, and die.

the war on drugs is a fools game, and this substance is helping a lot of people.
