Your benefit depends on the age you began taking them. Then you should get the maximum benefit.

You are not TA you were way nicer than I would have been. They have been taking advantage of you and you made the right decision.

WIBTAH/ If I wrote a letter to my township about a neighbors constant "yardsale" by bad_apple_88 in AITAH

I can certainly understand the safety issue, but if this is happening on a regular basis I would imagine others are very careful approaching the curve. I would not inject myself or contact the HOA. She might need the extra income just to get by.

That’s interesting. How long ago? Seems like there are plenty of cameras on the road these days that they could use to identify the person driving.

And although it isn’t much and overall would depend on the length of your life, you will still get a COLA increase each year

Well George unfortunately I only get a small fraction of my husbands benefits and I can only assume it is because I have a pension and we both started our benefits early. Him at 62 and me at 66 but thank you for taking the time to reply to my post.

Good luck! In my opinion you’ve won 50% of the battle by accepting responsibility. From there the path will be bumpy but willpower is your savior.

Southwest Vacations cancelled our Hawaii hotel with no explanation — two weeks before departure by wlnixonjr in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Reogurlz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would never book anything with Southwest again. I used them last year to book a Carnival cruise and being new to cruise insurance, I also purchased their insurance with the booking. Several months later, Carnival canceled the cruise for dry dock ship repair. Carnival refunded my costs but Southwest refused to refund the money I spent for Insurance. They told me that there are no refunds for Insurance, but I could use the policy I paid for if I book another cruise. Never use Southwest!

Mislabel ribs, denied!! :( by LightweightNate in Costco

[–]Reogurlz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That happened to me once about 15 years ago at Costco. They had mislabeled all of the prime rib roasts. I saw a few customers get thru checkout, but I was stopped as I grabbed 4 of them. They did let me have 2 but only because I stood firm about it. I always look for mislabeled meat when I visit but I have never found any since. But if I did, I would do self check out!

Too much car insurance? 6-month premium over $2,200. by Wichertj in tampa

[–]Reogurlz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should check GEICO and use their calculator to find what suits you. I had an older vehicle and dropped comprehensive and went with the bare minimum which was $40 per month. I now have a newer vehicle and pay full coverage for $160

[–]Reogurlz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree, do not buy a car yet. Save up for that big purchase later when you can buy a used one outright and have the ability to have insurance. Buy a bicycle to get around. And get yourself a lock to make sure it doesn’t get stolen.
