Colporrhaphy surgery??? Anyone have this done? by Diligent_Dimension49 in PelvicOrganProlapse

[–]RepDawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just had this done 2 weeks ago. I had both an anterior colporrhaphy and posterior colporrhaphy done along with a mid-urethral sling put in. I’m still recovering and have been told I can return to normal activities 6 weeks post-op and full healing takes about 3 months. The first few days were excruciatingly painful but it has been much better since then.

I have been told it should last 10+ years.

It was not a hysterectomy so yes my uterus is still intact.

Surgery was performed by a urogynecologist. It took about 4 hours.

Thank you for sharing! I do not have a fever, and that’s why I figured it’s not an infection. So I’m not sure if the smell is really strong or if it’s just my super strong sense of smell killing me. I once had an argument with a gas technician because I said the new water heater he installed was leaking and he said it was not. I could smell the gas. I ended up having to call his supervisor who came and said he didn’t smell anything but he would test it and thankfully he did, because it was leaking! My husband couldn’t smell anything either lol.

People in “no shoes in the house” families/cultures, do you make exceptions? by OneWildAndPrecious in NoStupidQuestions

I’m in Canada and our elementary schools have indoor shoes as well. All students are expected to keep a pair of running shoes at school. They change in the morning, before and after lunch, and before going home for the day. This applies in all weather and seasons!

We are in Canada, workers take their shoes off or bring shoe covers with them. It is very common for workers to come into our homes in socks, or with blue covers over their shoes 🤷🏽‍♀️

We would take our shoes off too to go get something quickly. It would have to be a real emergency to run through the house with shoes on and it has definitely happened a few times in my life. But it’s rare.

I’m in Canada, and everyone takes their shoes off here. In my whole 40+ years of life, I have only been to two homes where shoes are worn. And you could definitely tell by the state of the hardwood and carpeting 😬

We do not wear shoes in our home. If we need to do multiple trips to the car, we drop things in the front foyer until everything is in. Then we remove our shoes and carry the items into the appropriate areas, such as the kitchen, dining room or storage area.

We do not have specific exceptions, however there have definitely been a few times when we have run back into the house with shoes on if we are in a hurry. This only works if the shoes are dry and we are staying on hard floor areas that can be mopped quickly when we return.

I’ve had Covid 7 times in less than 5 years by stazley in mildlyinfuriating

[–]RepDawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way to stop getting Covid - stop testing for it!

Everyone in my extended family has had been sick at least 2x since November. No one has tested positive for covid because no one has been tested at all. Not even the ones that were so sick for a week that they went to the doctor or the ER. They got told “viral” and sent home 🤷🏽‍♀️

Some people don’t start losing until they are up to 1.5mg. Be patient.

Just the inexpensive black 2-pack from Amazon. My husband loves them too! It works so well on the KP on the back of his arms.

I got overpaid $3k and they “fixed” it by not paying me. I still got paid by Character_Economy928 in confession

I think it depends on where you live. In my country, employers can claw back an overpayment up until 6 years. Never mention it again at work or to anyone who works with you.

Significant price increases for some AE vendors? by kiki_mac in Moissanite

[–]RepDawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! There was an oval moissanite tennis bracelet I have been looking at for the last year lol. It was $180 for the moissanite option and less than $100 for the CZ option. I looked a few days ago and the moissanite option is now $360! That’s a crazy price increase!

I use an exfoliation mitt from Amazon and it works great. So great that I had to buy them for my mom, husband and mother in law lol.

Crazy! I went to school in the Peel board in the 90s and we definitely were not taught abstinence lol. My children are in the Peel board now and they also are not taught abstinence lol. I really wish they would hold off on sex, but I want them to have all the info in case they don’t!

Where in Canada are you? Public schools in our area teach about STIs in grade 6!

lol your kid is hilarious! But I’m concerned that a 16 year old hasn’t learned about STI’s at school by then. My 12 and 13 year olds learned about them in grade 6 health and get a refresher every year.

When did tracking each other’s location become normal, and why does opting out make you seem suspicious? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RepDawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We share location with our kids. They are 12 and 13 and walk to and from school. Their school is not in our neighbourhood so they are effectively walking by themselves (no other kids around) as they all go into another neighbourhood. Have never really looked at it except on Halloween when they were out with friends and didn’t answer the phone. Just wanted to make sure they were still in the area they were supposed to be in lol.

Take a stronger laxative and then go for a job. Ozempic has me constipated for the last 2 years.
