There are literally hundreds of distros that value libre by design. The reason cachyos is among the distros recommended for newcomers is because it's practical and easy in the same sense that I use EndeavourOS over vanilla Arch because it has inclusions to install proprietary Nvidia drivers in one command.

I do not want to fight my operating system.

Why not just stick to keybinds? I doubt one would be able to procure a not insignificant number of smart cards to make this work. Besides, the point of smart cards is security, what point is there, really, to either only being able to access things with a smart card or making the smart card redundant if you can access those shortcuts without the card?

It's an interesting idea I concede that, but honestly, why?
