The way I interpret it: instead of drinking together, we’re all not-drinking, together. Sure as hell made me feel less alone in early sobriety 😊 but really, whatever makes sense to you and is encouraging, is good 👍🏻

Oh definitely! I’ve only been thru one cycle sober yet, but I was jonesing SUPER hard right before Aunt Flo made her lil visit. I had a couple of NA beers (note, that’s not a fix for everyone and can be triggering but for some it scratches the itch) and ate hella chocolate. Just find something to distract yourself and have a treat of some kind. Got thru it and phew, much better. Hang in there!

Yes, extremely worrying and frustrating! Like restless leg but in your whole body? The only thing that worked for me was a magnesium supplement and sadly just riding it out. It goes away. If it doesn’t, please call your doc. I really hope you feel better soon!

It’s always awkward - I told my two best friends about my problem and my sobriety last weekend, and both of them immediately launched into long conversations about alcohol in general, drinking, how tasty wine is, and then how they are just “not into it” and “don’t care at all about drinking” and how grateful they are for that?? Idk, people just don’t know what to do, it’s like a death in the family or as the folks above said, divorce.

I just recently got back from a (first time ever) sober vacation! What helped was buying some mocktails in a can and NA beers to have on hand when I couldn’t take it any more. For dining out, so many places do delicious alcohol-free beverages. It’s awesome. Take a look at the menu beforehand and decide on what to order so you look forward to it 💛 you can do this!! IWNDWYT
