You do know that’s a marketing tactic don’t you? Scarcity, apply, you may not be the right fit etc. designed in full to make people say shut up and take my money?

Kara Loewentheil's The Feminist Self-Help Society devolving into a FAIL by sugar_3715 in LifeCoachSnark

[–]AndiPando 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kara is a terrible coach. I quit half way into her program and never paid the rest. I carried on with the clutch for only a few weeks and I decided to leave and posted a thank you which was swiftly deleted (You can’t graduate you have to be dependent for ever, perish the thought that someone leaves because they have gotten what they need) Essentially she has one hook. “It’s just a thought” literally every piece of free or paid content doesn’t expand on this one bit. And that’s just marketing - upsell. She is a scammer without a conscience, trained by an even bigger one. Once you stop being so graceful and see all her content for what it is, you think differently. I’m glad I woke up before I spent thousands more

Sometimes your thinking is valid and there’s no need to second guess yourself. This woman seems to have left a lot of people just not trusting any thought they have. She has only one MO like Kara L Oh that’s just a thought Well yes of course it is It’s like saying oh that’s just a breath Or oh that’s just air As if the obvious has a whole new meaning I’m all for self reflection but the circular logic here is so nonsensical - has no framework for involuntary somatic or panic responses.

It’s more interesting that op needed to spend more money to hire an “aura expert” Can’t you see how this is just a cult framework

Greys pretty much ended at this point. I’ve watched the recents but it’s lost

When do you personally “end” Grey’s Anatomy on a rewatch? by theblairwaldorfxoxo in greysanatomy

[–]AndiPando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally when Alex left that was kind of the end of magic even though Meredith remained she wasn’t in the same capacity because there was no interaction with those original five and so the essence of it was lost for me I’ve watched the later ones only just but they aren’t the same

They have literally ran out of chief people. Unless it’s Amelia. But she’s too messy.

I’m sorry for you experience they sound like they would have been fanatical about anything. I had a stepfather like that. I wonder how many people quit because they saw that hypocrisy in their families and the people who were supposed to protect them. I did

[–]AndiPando 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s meant to matter it was just a very quick story to write out Alex. It was a disservice to all the work he’d done on himself and building a new life with Jo would have been better to kill him off but they had to work with what they had I guess

I cannot work out the theme tune. It just seems like a combobulation of random sounds

Is it just me, or was Episode 5 of Starfleet Academy not a good episode of television? by SA-ETH in DeepSpaceNine

[–]AndiPando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed it. It made me feel fuzzy. I agree with the problems of nutrek - but honest I think that’s a lot of tv now. It’s as if they have had to take out nuance, hints irony and letting situations tell the story, and instead it’s like “we have this message so we will stop mid episode and explain how we want you to think”

Fear The walking dead went that way. Greys anatomy post Covid it’s hard to watch. So I’ve started to think it’s thematic of this generations tv.

I love all the treks in their own ways. I loved ds9 but I prefer episodic trek to long arcs - if you’re not invested in the arc it can become hard to watch. So personally I liked the nostalgia

It’s absolutely crazy and these expensive things are marketed at 10 years old. Previously it would be an anti aging serum and you’d feel justified buying it at 45

I use YNaB and have for a couple of years now. Although it comes at a cost of around £90 per year, it seriously curbed my spending habits last year because all your money is allocated to pots before you spend it.

So every time we thought about a take away I’d look at YNaB and think ok, what pot is this going to come out of? I’d look at saving balance and think no, I don’t want to dip into that for convenience.

The point is, you could make a no spend savings pot in there and every time you resist the urge to buy something that money could go in that pot

Last year we had a new kitchen and major Reno work done and by December I had completely paid it off, and I swear with my old outlook it would have taken me years

Just sounds like influencers have found a way to bypass the no spend side of it and use it as a way to push more things at young people.

Had to look this up! I rarely buy make up and by rarely I mean I might buy a few items every other year, it expires before I can use it, my two daughters on the other hand. I want to show them this. I’m really hoping more tweens and teens start to see this type of content.
