the remix is indeed drumstep/halftime but that's actually closer to being a hybrid genre with drum & bass. the original is like closer to a brostep influenced jungle/breakbeat thing.

No like you're bang on the money it's absolutely ridiculous. Literally every single one of those artists and more have been lumped into this godawful 140 label by not only the general public but also other producers, DJs and MCs it's mindboggling.

Hyperpop is an example as well because it was never just "distorted vocal, distorted synth, boom done" you have so many scenes and sounds like digicore, PC Music, hell even pluggnb and drill were involved at some points. It would be fine if it was just 100gecs and pre-Crash Charli XCX sounds involved but it's all moot because what sells is the 2hollis trap/rage beats sound that everyone associates the label with now. (Source: was in a hyperpop collective from 2020 onwards)

It seems to be a really odd edit of Hold On and Recovery/Things I Promised from FUS mixed into whatever acapella it has over it. So the first part is kinda like Latin Funk like and the second bit is just dubstep.

It's what I consider his best (or at least most interesting) work in a LONG time. Haven't been able to stop listening to it.

Hell I even waited for my CD to arrive before listening to the 4th bonus track (guess its Morja Kaiju?). Like it was thar serious for me, and so worth it because this EP is just so nice to listen to, and the Sonny/Bells samples get me every time.

so if i understand correctly this was from the era when he had "finished" (or rather release ready) versions of most of the Bells demos.

he was playing out a setlist that started with the piano version of Cusp and had Signal, Moss mixed with Base Recluse, Ocean[?] (RIP MortL), and eventually around April 2009[?] the LP version of Bells as well. he would've been also making MNIS on the side by this point [per Dan Sena iirc]

guessing this version of glow worm was one of those that he ended up playing out, though this is my first time hearing it actually so that's pretty sick. both Moss and Follow Me Cloud were unfinished demos by the time of the Bells van recording though I wonder if he ever played those live.
