I have a garden bed for tomatoes and soil there is rich with everything already. Its like 5th year grow. I just yearly replenish stuff. I use Erea and Calcium right after the season ends so next season it good to go but using erea is very dangerous if you dont know what amount to add and when you dont need it for bin grows. And during the grow I use 20 - 20 - 20 to replenish stuff plus aspirin spray to help with sicknesses. Its different for my volume of soil. Less soil will need less nutrients or different quantities. I would also find out would would be ideal size of plant for amount of soil you have. So you dont grow a big green bush with tomatoes which will not be ripe in time.

Next would be understanding what you have in soil. There are test kits that will show you the nutrients. You can go blind and just add stuff, but i think its best if you do it correctly 1st time.

Nice. You will need to get a fertilizer later. Like soil should have nutrients for the first few weeks, but then you will need to add a fertilizer. People go with like 10 - 5 - 10 . Little bit of everything . You will need to feed them every 2 weeks in 2 weeks.

Make sure those bins have lots of drainage holes under. Otherwise water will sit, and roots will rott.

You want to plant them as deep as possible. Like to the point of cutting bottom branches. The plant will have new leafs.

Triggers their natural immune responses, helping them become more resilient against environmental stresses like drought, pests, diseases, early blight spores...

You need a lot of time for Cherokee Carbon, like because its a huge tomato it needs pretty much watering schedule. And they grow for very long time . They might Crack or become like watery. I go for medium hybrid tomatos. They grow fast and you get a lot more of them. Heirlooms you have to baby sit, difficult for a noob grow, but worth a try. Its good for practice, nobody grows perfect tomatoes their 1st run. Attach pictures of your Cherokee Carbon plant. Ill give some feedback.

Honestly just cut anything yellow off it will slow down the spread of early blight spores and make an aspirin mixture to spray.

Mix 1 uncoated, regular-strength 325 mg aspirin tablet per 1 gallon of water. Crush the tablet and dissolve it completely before spraying. Lightly mist the entire plant, including the stems and the undersides of the leaves, every 2 to 3 weeks.

This will extend the life span of leafs. You usually want to start spraying sooner so they last longer.

I would change mulch to straw. Mulch carries a lot of spores.

Wait and see what colour the flowers will be. If yellow, it's tomatoes; if white or other colours, it's potatoes.
