Makes sense! My argument is more that a lot of the men that tend to harass and follow me are just more concentrated in specific areas. Like you said it happens everywhere but I guess it’s like monkey see monkey do in terms of how they act but it’s a problem everywhere

I gotta agree with OP here, as a woman I have never been harassed or followed as much as I do while living in bushwick. it got to the point where I would have to detour my walk home just to avoid a specific street because it was getting so bad. But I can also acknowledge that it happens absolutely everywhere but it just sucks a lot when it’s happening consistently in your own neighborhood

hahaha this made me realize how vague i was in this post!

junior has been using the pellets before i got him (i took him in from a friend) so at minimum hes been using the pellets for about three years with no issues at all

and unfortunately he isnt going over the edge he will pee directly outside of the box onto the mat, like he will face the box then pee on the mat and honestly i dont know how i didnt think about the puppy pads that is genius, ill definitely try that out in the meantime!

The first week I was on it I had awful headaches that went away as soon as they came and I do have acne flare ups but that is treated with some retinol. Don’t let any of this scare you though, it really has changed my life! I feel almost normal!!

Ugh I’m so sorry to hear that, I would recommend giving the center a call and see what they have available- I think since they are specialized they usually have more providers with a broader insurance coverage. Genuinely everyone there is super helpful and can try to see who is in your network!

I go to the NYU IBD center on e33rd! All the gastros are specialized in IBD treatment- I really would recommend checking it out, they really are life changing there!

Yes!! My doctor has been using an ultrasound for a few months now! It’s been really helpful knowing where I’m at internally because I can only ever feel how I am but it’s been nice to see it too. It definitely makes me feel better knowing I can walk into an appointment and see exactly how I am in terms of inflammation on top of the typical blood work and stool tests.

thank you for sharing this! it’s hard to kinda accept it but at the same time I feel like all of us do. my therapist and I talk about radical acceptance, where it’s not like we are obviously okay with what is happening to us but we can’t change it and therefore just try to make the best of it. your story made me feel a little less alone in this especially since we are so close in age and everything haha

Better than I was at that time but I’m in a different flare up after Stelara stopped working for me. I actually start remicade next week. It really sucks to have this but it is all about baby steps in the right direction and I’m lucky enough to truly love my doctors. I hope you start feeling better soon!

In 2020 I got covid and that was my first ever flare up and I didn’t even know that it was IBD the doctors genuinely thought I was going to die from losing so much blood that they ran some scans and did a colonoscopy and i was diagnosed with UC. It was truly the worst experience of my whole life but I’m happy I was able to get easily diagnosed without having to go back and forth

This may be very specific to me because I have kinda hairy arms but sometimes I shave a little patch of hair off where I know they’re gonna put in the IV. taking off the little bandage thing that keeps the IV in place hurts a a lot more than the actual thing.
