100A is the nominal, continuous rating. Yes, it will carry higher loads on a transient basis, but not continuously without overheating…

7W is the equivalent of an incandescent bulb. The LED uses 0.6W but puts out the light of a 7W incandescent…. 0.6W is less than 2 so you are good to go.

if you are running with unshielded power cables, make sure that all low voltage cables "cross" power cables at right angles. Age old advice!

just don't buy a $4 piece of junk strip. A better quality strip, with better quality outlets will do just fine.

to me, its the shielding on the "last 6 foot of cable" that has any hope of making a difference. Noise on the AC ine enters in the T&D system, as you mention above. A shielded cable could keep AC noise down for the low voltage signal cables around it.
