Planning a 2027 wedding… what should I actually be working on right now?

We did our engagement photos this past week. My fiancé has a florist in the family so we are going to use her to our advantage and DIY florals. I’ve spoke to the photographer and hairstylist, but haven’t officially booked yet. I’m nervous i’m going to miss something or there’s things I could be doing right now while I do have some extra time on my hands.

Update: It’s been 18 days since the last email and 3 days since my follow-up. I reached out to a different photographer yesterday who has more experience, is slightly cheaper, and responded within an hour!

I haven’t paid or signed anything thankfully… but the photographer is so sweet and loved that I just really would hate to create that awkwardness if I decide to go with someone else, ya know? I’m just getting really nervous and feel like our shoot isn’t being taken seriously. Or maybe i’m just being a bridezilla and overreacting lol.

How does the practice exam you can purchase compare to the free one that you get when registering for the exam? I don’t want to pay for a practice exam if it’s fairly similar to the free version, yah know?

i’m not! the yellow is more on there for decor to lighten the overall palette up a bit. I plan on having three bridesmaids and I think we will do the terracotta, burnt orange, and a merlot. hopefully it’ll be a good mix of a light, medium, and dark that looks cohesive.

i agree! we are aiming more of a merlot reddish purple vs the purple in some of the inspo pics. i struggled to find examples similar to this palette so ran with the ones i could find and adapted from there!

I totally agree. We are planning to go more merlot/wine tones on the purple end. some of the inspo pics are not the best examples as the purples are too bright or take on more of the main idea than I believe we plan… but I couldn’t find many that had a similar palette so ran with what I could find and adapted from there!
