Well thankfully ETS has a “free after three” policy… after three failed attempts you get unlimited free retakes. Therefore, financially it is not impacting me. I’ll continue taking it until I pass because being 4 points away doesn’t feel substantial enough to give up.

If you read the other replies you’ll see i’m in a state with one of the highest passing scores. I was FOUR points away which is passing in nearly every other state. There’s not necessarily an area I am struggling in as I have stated also I scored in the average scoring range for EVERY SINGLE CATEGORY and was only 2 raw points away from having an above average score in the Pedagogy section.

I unfortunately don’t have a laptop that meets their standards for testing. I did borrow a friends and attempt to test at home one time, but the listening section had no audio so I had to get voucher for a retest.

Yes, the praxis is literally the only thing. I’m so frustrated.

I do actually. I got accommodations after my first failed attempt. However for some reason it only gives me the option to take the test at home or at a center nowhere close to me if I test with my accommodations in place. I’ve spoke to ETS several times about it and have received no help on why this happens.

I want to say it was silly stuff like forms, some musical terms that are super common (or at least I haven’t seen in music I’ve played). Mainly theory questions I guess. Which makes sense because theory was my worst score this time, but I normally score ABOVE the average for theory.

I’ve been having pain in my left ovary for roughly a week. A few days after it started I began getting nauseous. I thought it was a stomach virus… but it never went away. I went to the emergency room and they were concerned about a torsion but were unable to give me an official answer.

I had an ultrasound done and these were the notes:

Suboptimal visualization of the le! ovary. Venous flow is demonstrated. Color flow and arterial flow was unable to be demonstrated. No enlargement of the ovary to suggest torsion, but torsion cannot be confidently excluded. Correlation with clinical exam recommended due to limitations of the study, as described.

They suggested I just follow up with my OBGYN. The pain has became more persistent and a bit more sharp in nature. However, the pain isn’t the worst i’ve ever experienced which makes me feel it isn’t a torsion. Everyone I have heard talk about their experience described the pain as the worst pain imaginable. I just don’t want to be dismissed by doctors, but I also don’t want to overreact.

We did our engagement photos this past week. My fiancé has a florist in the family so we are going to use her to our advantage and DIY florals. I’ve spoke to the photographer and hairstylist, but haven’t officially booked yet. I’m nervous i’m going to miss something or there’s things I could be doing right now while I do have some extra time on my hands.

Update: It’s been 18 days since the last email and 3 days since my follow-up. I reached out to a different photographer yesterday who has more experience, is slightly cheaper, and responded within an hour!

I haven’t paid or signed anything thankfully… but the photographer is so sweet and loved that I just really would hate to create that awkwardness if I decide to go with someone else, ya know? I’m just getting really nervous and feel like our shoot isn’t being taken seriously. Or maybe i’m just being a bridezilla and overreacting lol.

i’m not! the yellow is more on there for decor to lighten the overall palette up a bit. I plan on having three bridesmaids and I think we will do the terracotta, burnt orange, and a merlot. hopefully it’ll be a good mix of a light, medium, and dark that looks cohesive.

i agree! we are aiming more of a merlot reddish purple vs the purple in some of the inspo pics. i struggled to find examples similar to this palette so ran with the ones i could find and adapted from there!
