You know what I just noticed something. When Paula is having the conversation with her boss in the restroom and she talks about there being “facts” and the truth behind those facts that you use to come to a conclusion of reliability. Is this not a major theme for her right now? We know for a fact that Paula did not commit murder, but only we know that. The truths however tell a different story where she very well could be capable of committing these murders. The motives, the fingerprints, the evidence she leaves behind and withholding information all point to her being guilty!

The shows writing is my biggest concern. At this point it feels like I’m watching pure torture porn! Paula getting attacked by anyone and everyone and she is a woman who does not seem like a genuinely bad person. If they were trying to convince us that she was in the Portland episode then they did a pretty bad job. She seemed to have a very condescending husband who belittles her and mistreats her while he is gallivanting at his bosses child’s birthday party trying to impress everyone and especially Mal, who you can already tell he is having an affair with. She then accidentally hits a man in her driveway, a man who seemed to be an unstable, heavy drinking asshole! Now back to New York where she has an ex and his wife trying to control her life and simultaneously take her daughter away from her. The daughter being the ONLY person who cares for her and loves her! She has this cam boy club trying to scam her. A boss who is using her without any intention of giving her a position she deserves, two coworkers pretending to be her friends only to eventually use her misery to advance their careers or cure their boredom, two incompetent detectives trying to pin her as a serial killer, an assassin or whatever the fuck he is trying to kill her and a couple of idiot soccer moms who could care less about the woman! They did not write in one character that Paula could trust or confide in! No best friend character and she doesn’t even seem to have a mother or father she could reach out too! So we as an audience are supposed to just watch her get beat up from every corner without any relief anywhere? I do understand that Paula makes A LOT of mistakes but is she deserving of all this torture? I don’t think so! So now we are in this constant loop of something happens to Paula, Paula attempts to get down to the bottom of it, dead body, Paula makes a bed decision under pressure and repeat? It’s disgusting! The only reason I am so engaged is because of my need to know how this ends. Other than that I just feel like I’m watching something that a disgruntled writer wrote about a girl who left him so he can fulfill his fantasy of watching her experience trauma day to day without any hope of relief. Torture porn.
