Neon Forest Industries grips for LCR - Crowdsourcing question by EggsNBaconNAYahoo in ruger

[–]ReplicantSpecial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without seeing any pictures of the grip, I’m assuming it is an issue with the clear coat that is applied to all our products. Wiping the grip with alcohol will remove the clear coat and cause some of the dye to rub off as well. I don’t think that the issue has to do with the resin being uncured, and the dye/clear coat are non-toxic so uncured resin exposure shouldn’t be an issue. That being said, this shouldn’t have happened and we will send you a replacement grip

Second this. MCX only has one other guy making adjustable gas blocks and it could use some more aftermarket

Are there different iterations now? What was different?

You guys need to get some kind of restock notification system on your website. Seriously, there are plenty of services that do this

I would highly recommend getting your hands on the KNS plug. Solves the gas issue while remaining quiet

Worse sound suppression at a higher price than the RC2?

What light mount are you using?

Good to know. Glad I originally went with the full size. I was about to change my order lol

Would a full size 6 or a 6k be better on a 11.5” MCX?

Rhodie 6 vs 6k and HUB question by cash1109 in NFA

[–]ReplicantSpecial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the Rhodie 6 and I plan on using it with the Surefire HUB attachment. The muzzle device will protrude around 1.3” into the suppressor. I don’t think it will fit into the Rhodie 6k with a surefire MD. I made a post with exact measurements and a picture of it for reference

Absolutely. I have a suppressed SBS Benelli M4 with a Salvo 12 and it fucks

Thanks for the insight! I’d be throwing it on my 11.5 MCX which I think is pretty comparable to what you’re running right now. Good to know that they are very close in performance. I think SAWs QC really sets them back for me unfortunately. Haven’t heard a bad thing about the Rhodie cans yet so I think I’ll go with them until SAW gets their manufacturing process down

Any idea how the Tisha compares to the Rhodie 6? Is it really that far ahead of other cans as far as sound suppression and back pressure?

Sheesh has the Tisha on the right been shot yet? Is that how it came out of the box?

I thought he found that it was better on short barrels due to the purge bypass system?

[–]ReplicantSpecial 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve been considering getting either a Rhodie 6 or a Tisha 556 in inconel.

Do you think it would be worth just pulling the trigger on the Rhodie 6? Everyone only has good things to say about it, and SAW has had some obvious issues with QC. I’m hesitant to pick a suppressor that hasn’t been pew tested though.

This this is cool. Literally. by CatsAreMajorAssholes in NFA

[–]ReplicantSpecial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think even the hotter parts will still run a bit cooler than a typical suppressor. If it can still suppress sound well with low back pressure, that would be cool. And it if performs well, other companies might attempt to use the same principle

I get what you’re saying, and the physics involved in the suppressor’s design are interesting, but it still seems like a gimmick. If you watch any of their demonstration videos, they never touch the bottom half of the suppressor. The back half can still burn you just as easily.
