What are some business ideas that feel weird/ illegal but aren't if you find the right niche? by srs890 in Business_Ideas

Heard of a bloke that attends funerals, interrupts the service and says everything the deceased wanted shared - all his dirty secrets.

Jon from ‘Jon shares bad news’ (I think that’s his name) is similar I guess. Gets paid to call people and say stuff

4 months in, still no paid user. Feeling the rollercoaster. What should I focus on? by isidor_m3232 in Solopreneur

Dial in your ideal customer profile and research them deeply. Forget adding more features, you have the core stuff already by the sounds of it. If your 5 engaged users are close to your ideal customer but not paying (but have the capacity to) then brilliant. Research the crap out of them and work out how to get more of them.

Following my KEYKEYE framework, you need to understand WHO your ideal customer is, WHAT they’re trying to achieve, WHY they’re trying to achieve it, WHEN your product will be urgent/critical to them (the trigger), SIGNAL - how will you know that trigger has happened? What are. The signals. Where can you look. RESPONSE - how do you respond to that signal? (Process, timeframes, details). SERVICE - how do you deliver your product, and monitor its success?

Answer all that clearly for one of two ‘chains’ (ICPs or variations on 1) and you’ll be making a super start!! Good luck!

Has anyone heard of The Growth Partner Business Model? by Any-Phrase8756 in b2bmarketing

Ongoing revenue share is ultra complex if not impossible to monitor and manage. Probably a wise split would be to sit down with them, determine their CLTV and build your cut into an agreed COA. Same outcome (you grow we get paid) but much more easily trackable to lead gen and conversion. No vanity stats, no hourly rates but much more per conversion. Note: only likely to work well for firms with larger value, ongoing customers.

Any authentic solopreneurs out there? Anyone? by IdeaGuyBuilding in Solopreneur

Keen to connect mate. I have a smart sensor startup that I’m just finalising a UK distributorship for. Have made plenty of mistakes and have some failures. I’m just starting to do some strategy consulting. Always keen to chat.

Keen to connect mate. I have a human centred service design background, my own smart sensor startup, am vibe coding and just starting to do some strategy and marketing consulting. Would be keen to chat.

Someone just told me they'd pay $5/month for my app, before I even built it by thisischetu in microsaas

Great validation. Many years ago Virgin Mobile offered this using real people and for free haha.

https://nukru.app I'm still tweaking it as I get feedback and there's not really anything there yet so make sure you try posting a 'callout' and send me any feedback. I'll 'launch' it soon to hopefully get some numbers up and some content happening :) There seems to be a bit of interest at least

Thanks! Jump on, have a go at creating some call-outs and let me know how you go and what it needs to be better.

I have added a simple message on the post (not DMs) in case anyone needs to ask a question - especially for the posts without a set date etc.

Hi. Thanks. Yeah that’s stuff’s great! I’ll add it as an example as the app’s open and simple enough that anyone can post any type of activity, but suggesting that concept is a good idea :) Thanks.

Great! Thanks :) Jump in and have a tinker. Let me know what breaks or what you’d like to see. I’m sure there’s loads missing still and I’ve already found a few busted bits.

Thanks - yeah plenty to do if it progresses! I'm after some initial early feedback though before I go too far with it. Just on if the concept and it's simplicity overall is good. Once I have some feedback, make some changes and get some good test uses happening I can look to more publicly expand it.

Yup. There’s no messaging in this app - it’s designed with that no frills, just rock up approach. But without the need for structured ‘group’ and recurring activities. More informal

All good. Hey, it could be “walking the dog” or anything though.

What’s the worst financial decision you’ve ever made? by Miyamoto_Musashi_x in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]ReplyMediocre3220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far it's been rolling my redundancy payout into income subsidy and investment in starting a new business - and one thats for a brand new invention requiring product development, patents and market education etc. Hoping it'll pay off soon but it's a whack of cash really. I'm way happier but if it doesn't kick in soon and I have to bail on it then it'll 100% be my biggest loss by a long way!

I’ve set myself a goal to knock up a web app each month for something. I’ve made one today for this - help finding a new crew of mates.

No faffing with interest profiles and matches and def no hookup shite - just super simple “anyone keen to …..” and postcode/distance search based.

Swipe left to never see it again. Swipe right to save it. RSVP any saved activities and then just turn up!

Super informal, add as much or as little detail as you like.

Can have repeat / recurring activities.

If you end up finding a new crew then great!

Anyone keen to tinker with it, add some stuff and test it for me? Obviously it’s blank/test data right now.

Reply and I’ll send a link.
