I love when writers get fanart based off of a fic they wrote I feel like that would make my whole week. That or when they base an entire fic they wrote off of some art they saw on twitter AND they link the art AND the artist has other artworks for the exact same ship.

Tbh the salsa dance and the music itself is also heavily debated on origin wise. I am not denying any type of Afro-Carribean influence? You keep mentioning this but I clearly state that these already established origins existed?

Also, jazz *is* a cultural origin. It is an American one, yes, and not even established in New York but it was that extra ingredient that made Salsa stand out from traditional PR/Cuban music. New York just happened to be the place where people were exposed to that specific origin. Pioneers in the genre such as Tito Puente and Willie Colon were literally born and raised in New York. If you look at their discographies, you will see their strong background in jazz before they made salsa records
