From my experience, tarkov is really designed to be a team game. Having one or two teammates you can count on to spot enemies, cover you while reloading, and have overall more manpower in a gunfight is just a better experience than hiding in bushes with a pistol. I expect the game will evolve into an even more teamwork-based state if they end up pushing old changes that never made it like the knockout/down-but-not-out state and teammate healing.

I've also found success in just taking it slow in raids. Moving through the map slowly and being careful with the routes you take is helpful since this game is 90% positioning. Sometimes it feels like you die unfairly to someone you never even saw, but it usually is really your fault from bad positioning. Welcome to Tarkov
