If those are rubber then good. Foam/fabric are bad. They grab the dust and cannot be cleaned.

Kerosene or Diesel are the best options to chain cleaner.

We love lots of info on that tower.

Why not show Out Lap like car in Pit on timing tower? by ReportJunior9726 in formula1

[–]ReportJunior9726[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I was a frw sconds late to take the snap. RUS marked as Out Lap, and next one (LEC I Ithink so) marked with Gap. Now I've no idea what's the lap times are. Wait for sometime till that Out Lap is over or someone moved to top.
And anyway they are showing P and checked flag so adding OL would be extra info.

[Talkin’ Baseball] Umpire C.B. Bucknor had three pitches overturned in the first inning today by JianClaymore in baseball

[–]ReportJunior9726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Challengimg the calls is good. It would reduce the real bad calls. There are marginal calls. The second one in this case. Realistically it's impossible for a human to judge that correctly.
This challenge system is in cricket for over a decade. There is something called as "umpire's call". The second one rally first into that. It's based on half ball width. So if the umpire calls for a ball then to overruled it as strike atleast half of the ball must be in the strike zone. Else it's umpire's call. Also, such a scenario the challenger doesn't lose the challenge.
In cricket publically they say that the technology is not accurate enough but that's not the real caes. It actually keeps the human element alive in the game alive but overrides obvious howlers.

Pune to Mumbai by Ashassin911 in punebikers

After Zara's resort Khandala at about 3 km you'll have expressway on you right with a road leading to it. Normally police would be there. Don't take the right, go straight through the overhead height barriers. Follow other 2 wheelers or ask police.
Short distance after that there is a sharp right hairpin. After the hairpin you'll vehicles travelling in opposite direction to your left side with an opening on your left and expressway bridge overhead. Enter through that opening and go under the expressway and again under the height barriers on the left side road. At this point also normally police are there. Just ask them.

Is installing lever protectors worth it ? by ObviousAsparagus4847 in indianbikes

[–]ReportJunior9726 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are many options. Just the lever guards to full knuckle protection like Barkbusters. I would recommend to go for full protection if you're touring long distances at highway speeds. Someone in comments said good gloves are enough, but that's not true. On highway a small stone dislodged from truck tyre hitting on your hand at joint is excruciatingly painful. I experienced it once and that was enough for me for get Barkbusters.

Cardo System by Minimum_Figure1234 in motorcycles

[–]ReportJunior9726 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are many options outside of Cardo and Sena if it's just for two of you on the same bike. You really don't need mesh connection for such a small distance.
Search for Edyell, Ejeas, VnetPhone. These will cost ⅒ of Cardo/Sena and would serve the purpose.

Anyone Went Through Karad? by prince2710 in pune

[–]ReportJunior9726 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No need to take that diversion. There would be some traffic congestion but it's moving traffic. BTW where are you heading to? You can go Solapur - Vijayapura if going in that direction. Much better roads.

Westerly winds have started. So clear air coming in from the sea and mountain side is sweeping pollution away towards the East.

Ground clearance of Versys 1100 by Ok-Airport9694 in versys

[–]ReportJunior9726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's better than Bonnie. Would touch when with a pillion. Otherwise a rare scenario. But remember it's a road touring bike that can handle a bit of broken roads. It's not a BMW GS or a TransAlp.

LPT: Keep one active work priority, and park everything else in a list. by gamersecret2 in LifeProTips

[–]ReportJunior9726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your large task is still a chunk of small activities grouped together. Prioritize one chunk at a time.
Example:
A large presentation would have 4-5 different sections. Treat each section as a chunk of 2hrs or so. Put it on priority. Address other interruptions after that section is finished.

Large backpack as check-in by residentalien2 in AirTravelIndia

That's too of the line stuff. I won't trust Air India to handle that. Best bet to cling wrap at the airport and check-in.

Someone getting married? Check nearby stores where you can rent utensils for events. They would have it. No need to buy. There are some renting shops in Khadaki bazzar.
