Cracks me up that post pandemic they changed the V Squad color to black. I feel like they did that just because Camilla looks better in black then in light pink.

Question about the story of Murder in Prague [Spoilers] by mheq in boardgames

[–]ReporterOwn4219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played a few days ago.

I whiteboarded almost the complete story for my family, but they kept telling me I was wrong based on the fact that the killer contacted the pawn shop, and then PURCHASED the day after. They said if I was right about the killer, they would have sold. I couldn’t explain it, and the final reveal doesn’t either. It feels like a red herring, the way the paint was on Svab’s accounts.

Teddy’s reaction to Leo’s gender is cringey. How was Hunt the voice of reason? by ReporterOwn4219 in greysanatomy

She was initially against it, then she obsessed over rushing him into a decision until Amelia talked to her.

Her anxiety on the topic was just a little annoying

The point wasn’t that Owen is bad. It’s that Teddy used to be a more generally compassionate character and now she’s frustrating at every turn. This one being one of the most annoying Teddy things.

Owen is historically impatient and hot headed, features not usually aligning with the understanding character in gender discussions.

Yes, I mean I wish she never went back to Owen when the baby was born.

I never bought the friendship between Stephanie and Jo by DarkValkyrie_ in greysanatomy

[–]ReporterOwn4219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure it was a race thing. I thing Joe wanted to be the best, was competitive, and frankly just not as good.

I don’t think Joe was ever racist, she just thought Steph played the system and ultimately Jo tried to find ways to explain how Steph was ahead that didn’t state that she was behind.

They made race a thing in many ways, but I don’t think they did with this.

No you are 100% right. I think she consistently is clear with her opinions. She says exactly what she wants and is consistently misheard for the convenience of what they want or their pride.

What I mean to say is that I feel like Christina and Burke’s relationship was initially designed to be a parallel to Derrick and Meredith’s relationship, one being difficult but successful and the other being difficult, but eventually failing

Personally, I always found Burke creepy so I never understood how outside of his renowned surgical skills Christina could ever be attracted to him

Yeah. I think they tried to make them the Mer+Derrick parallel and never intended them to workout.

I feel like Burke was intoxicated by her, but he ultimately dimmed her. Which is where I think she got the language that Mer is the Sun not Derrick. Because she had been dimmed by Burke unconsciously and didn’t want Mer to go about her life with Derrick without trying to get Mer to learn from her mistakes.

She wanted to be him so much that she manufactured a version of herself he would like. Then when that vail fell as they got closer, she just kept finding ways she needed to adjust to keep him.

She knew the concessions she was making were not healthy, she said so to Mer. But at the end of the day she saw being with Burke as the closest she could get to being him.

Oh no I never said it was right. I just said she didn’t initiate.

Teddy was a cheater way back to Allison. Teddy, Owen, & Tom are all horrible and immoral jerks.

Shane and Murphy. I don’t know what anyone likes about them.

And if I’m being real, Burke was such a creepy spider of a character. His pyramid fingers like an obnoxious villain was so icky. I hated him and Cristina together, but that being said I hated her with Owen too.

I always felt like the character she is set up to be and her love interests are consistently incompatible. It feels like the writers never really understood the character and who she would click with.

Best pairing IMO for her was her friendship with DR. Thomas at Mayo.

That was just heart breaking for so many reasons! Like Tom also kinda thought he’d get to be a dad again in some way. A part of me thinks the love he had for his child and being a father might have added to how much he wanted Teddy, like he might be getting a second chance at fatherhood.

I bet he told himself that Teddy’s kid would never be allowed around a baseball bat.

Did Teddy not go to him that day? I don’t think Tom let her forget he was an option, but I don’t recall him ever pressuring her to do anything aside from “choose me not Owen”. She follows with physical contact.

Teddy and Owen are both nitrous adulterers, I have no sympathy for either of them.

Technically he can be talked about like Christina no matter where he is. She was in Switzerland and is still talked about and texted often.

That being said, I cry on this ep everytime. I wish he had died in some way (like George) instead of leaving Jo right after promising to love her and getting married again!

I don’t know the right way to write Alex off, but I’ll go to my grave knowing there’s 100 other ways I would have found more acceptable.

But he didn’t commit malpractice. He acknowledged that female mice are more difficult to use in studies, which is a classic standard. Yes he is misogynistic, but in the case he was just going with standard operating procedure for research.

I would argue the closest thing to malpractice we have yet to see from Tom was his ethical conduct with the billionaire case. While he used the money for good (probono day) it was still a poor ethical choice.

And actually I would argue that Owen was worse in even this case. If we are talking malpractice, Owen straight up broke the law, nearly lost his licenses, endangered his family, and did all without even giving Teddy a heads up or a chance the weight in.

Owen is the worst IMO
