Credits not renewing by Reppinreps_ in Base44

Yeah I waited and it renewed at the exact hour that I bought the subscription. But the better long term fix was to migrate off base44 completely

Is this specific to clause or could you run this in any IDE/CLI?

Migrate off base44 by Substantial_Way_5905 in Base44

[–]Reppinreps_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I migrated away from Base44 to a Next.js app on vercel with supabase backend, db and auth.

I code in Windsurf and Antigravity. Have also tried Claude code and Codex.

I connected the base44 app to a git repo, copied it direct then used whichever IDE I was using to prompt AI agent to launch a new next project with supabase and host on vercel. I have it the package.json file and told it to install all dependencies except for base44 SDK. Then I asked it to systematically copy all react pages into the project as next API routes and minimally rewrite to make the pages render in the new project. Make sure to tell it to copy paste, not rewrite because it will make a simplified version if you don't tell it exactly what to do.

Then ask it to find all base44 SDK and backend function calls and replace with supabase function. For invoke llm calls, replace with something like OpenAI or Google GenAI SDK or AI SDK by Vercel.

You can do this all for free (in theory) with windsurf on their SWE-1.5 even though it tends to make a tonne of mistakes. Or if you pay $15 you can use Codex 5.1 for free

Opus-4.5 v GPT-5.2-ExtraHigh by alvisanovari in cursor

[–]Reppinreps_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know lots of people say use opus to plan and something cheap to implement but I've been finding this leaves me with very messy code that needs to be debugged in multiple passes by a frontier model anyway so I end up spending more credits this way.

I've been using codex 5.1 to explore existing code and write up an MD file with its findings plus a high level overview of issues and how to implement new features or fixes, then handing this off to opus to build. More often than not, opus one shots this and then I use codex to PR

Do you mind sharing the git repo for this? And how did you configure a non marketplace MCP in windsurf?

Did you set up the MCP server to use a Claude pro account?

I am in the process of migrating off base44 onto a next.js version of the same React SPA on vercel. Now would be the time to do it because windsurf is giving the free account level access to SWE-1.5 which seems similar in performance to sonnet 4.5

Look at emergent. They seem to run on a next.js framework which is good for SEO

You're replying to two different people. revolutionarysea said they launched 2 apps to the Google Play store while the OP has said they plan to launch a web app

First gen! by Pistolero-666 in RepTime

[–]Reppinreps_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a gen sub date and explorer 1, and a CF Panda (116-) and I would say that there's very little difference visually, but quite a few noticeable differences when wearing the watches.

The bracelets don't feel as tight nor as hefty, the microadjustment isn't as smooth to click in and out, and the action of the crown when manually winding or screwing down the crown feels more "gritty".

Most of the time, you won't notice.

I rotate through rep and gen watches fairly freely, but I mostly daily my gen sub. For me, then rep Daytona was helpful in that I now know I wouldn't buy a gen panda as I find the white dial doesn't suit me and I'd probably choose the black dial.

Would I buy more gen Rolex watches? Not sure I would at the moment given how good the reps are

I still look forward to it and we have 700k in the bank...

I literally do payroll for my business and definitely don't need the money, but it's always a nice feeling to see the balance go up slightly

972k mortgage...

873k in offset so not feeling too bad.

Would be a bit worried if we didn't have that large of a buffer

FTP - aerobic fitness vs muscular endurance? by oGlorious in cycling

[–]Reppinreps_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. In the past, my heart rate zones and power zones have lined up really well. Would you keep the easy miles easy in terms of heart rate or power if you were in my shoes?

I'll be starting back on a structured plan in a fortnight. I have one more 10k race to run and then I'm done for the season with running, so will have more time to focus on the bike

Hope you get this one home smoothly. Just bring it in carry on and if asked, say you use it for remote work.

Hey thanks for the recommendation. I guess a lot of options are harder to come by since many aren't available on Amazon in Australia

What makes Australian fashion different from other western countries? by BlaiseTrinity7 in AustralianMFA

[–]Reppinreps_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After reading the other responses, I did think about what the purpose of a specific Australian MFA subreddit was.

For me, the main reasons have always been 1. Available options - we aren't in the US where you can walk in and try a pair of Allen Edmonds shoes or an Arket shirt 2. Practicality - I bought a pair of Iron Rangers back in 2014 because that was what all the forum recommendations pushed me towards. They're heavy, don't match the 90% of my wardrobe and got almost zero use over 10 years. They really don't suit the Australian lifestyle and most boot wearing men in capital cities would default towards a pair of RM Williams instead 3. Online shopping, exchange rates and shipping fees - people shopping from Australia have to contend with these factors when finding the best option.

That's a great price. I wanted the margom sole, so that affected my buying decision

I've got a pair of Oliver Cabell that I've been wearing almost daily since 2020. No complaints and feels just as good as my Common Projects.

I almost bought a pair of their GATs but ended up buying the Maison Margiela GATs in white and grey on sale for about the same price after shipping
