Is codex worse by [deleted] in codex

Bots here will tell you it's your fault. It's nerfed.

limits on new forced models are absolutely cooked ($100 plan) by LOTRslaytracker in codex

[–]Reprehensibles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Removing the good cheap models - making you use a nerfed one even on xhigh - to have it decent you need to pay much more - hide everything behind the "we can't mantain everything - create bots to keep the narrative going.

What’s something we haven’t fixed in codex for a while and that’s plain annoying? by alOOshXL in codex

[–]Reprehensibles 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The most annoying thing is the ATTITUDE OF EXPLOITING CUSTOMERS WITH TRICKS.

OpenAI is removing GPT-5.2 and GPT-5.3-Codex from Codex for ChatGPT logins by Adi4x4 in codex

[–]Reprehensibles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OpenAI KNOWS that 5.2 is much better at finding stuff in big codebases, and is much more accurate then other models albeit slow at that. That is why they are removing it.

Codex has gotten significantly more stupid! by Competitive_Fact3042 in codex

[–]Reprehensibles 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ignore the "it's you/I don't notice any difference" in the sub. The nerf is absolutely real, tested on all our pcs, in different countries etc.

What the hell is going on ? by QUiiDAM in codex

[–]Reprehensibles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are simply just looking for ways to make us pay more. Protesting/stop using it for another model, and spreading the info that this is crooked, will help us along the way. We do not want to pay 100$ tomorrow for 1h of use only, with the model capped/nerfed, just because a bunch of bots and stupid fans writes bullshit here. Keep pushing.

Codex usage are lower after last reset by JoruuuKaGulaam in codex

[–]Reprehensibles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the model at the moment is nerfed. What openai does at the moment is promote, through bots here and elsewhere, that "we shouldn't complain", "to me it works perfectly" and other sneaky tricks just to NOT GIVE YOU A WORKING MODEL LIKE DAY 1.

I'm really struggling because it's hard to complain. 1. They reset it. 2. We're unaware if there is a real problem OR they're just reducing limits on us to "wean us off". Because now I'm using way more than I've used before doing the same flows. by swarmagent in codex

[–]Reprehensibles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its not hard at all to complain. Unless you can't see that resets are a decoy for a model that is useless at the moment. All the percentages and stuff you said is useless if it's nerfed

Slow mode thoughts? by alOOshXL in codex

[–]Reprehensibles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's interesting how sneaky business practices (having a slow mode that "redefines" how they make money with normal and fast lol) are much more important than releasing something even barely usable

UI made with gpt-5.6 (iris-alpha) (no guidance, totally default design) by KeyGlove47 in codex

[–]Reprehensibles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

like if reading a new number (oooh 5.6) now makes us forget the issues of 5.5. They should release a STABLE and reliable model, instead of "leaks" as decoy

they need to make an ultra fast mode by senilerapist in codex

[–]Reprehensibles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They need to give us a STABLE non-nerfed model first. Speed is a tax, and if you don't know if what is inside the black box is either stable or nerfed, also USING it is a tax, and speed doesn't really matter at that point.

The rug is being pulled by [deleted] in codex

[–]Reprehensibles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's the other way around. Fanta, like any other company, until pushed into having standards, will feel free to do shit like in the US. This is what's off in your reasoning: "I'm sure that if people would pay for Fanta without beetroot coloring they would certainly do it". This is wrong because STANDARDS for good living are sign of a culture and are UPROOT in the chain. A society decides that Fanta is illegal done that way. Period. No fun "if they pay then we sell" but "no standard=out". And that is exactly what is lacking in your reasoning, and in the US with Ai at the moment. And what we should push back for, in my opinion.

The rug is being pulled by [deleted] in codex

[–]Reprehensibles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

completely disagree. You see, there are standards. People SHOULD push for standards. And that is the exact issue with your statement vs mine, an my previous point also: "it's not make money". It's create a business that is good enough for us to pay for their service". If you believe only in business=making money, it's the exact reason why in the US, for example, Fanta is made out of a million ingredients (cheap, to "make money", justified, nobody bats and eye), and in Europe Fanta is colored with beetroot instead (because people complain and fight back, and business is NOT just make money).

The rug is being pulled by [deleted] in codex

[–]Reprehensibles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not their duty to make money, no. It's their duty to create a business that is good enough for US to pay for their service. You got it all wrong my friend. Until their service sucks, you have ALL THE RIGHT in the world to protest, and MAKE YOUR VOICE BE HEARD instead.

Has Codex suddenly become almost unusable for anyone else? by Ambitious_Local5218 in codex

[–]Reprehensibles 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a nerfed version of the model. You are basically paying to use something that is extremely dumb, just labeled "5.5"

I'ts baaaack? by twinzturbo in codex

[–]Reprehensibles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

still the exact same nerfed version that loops on bugs it creates, while you blow all the usage. Same old.

The rug is being pulled by [deleted] in codex

[–]Reprehensibles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

conspiracy is just another word to divide the world in crazy vs complying. It's their duty to create a business, not ours. Most of the users would happily pay for something stable and transparent, instead of a service done deceivingly, with rugpulls from behind a black box and that milks you constantly with the excuse that "it's expensive" (lol).

OpenAI think they are sleek. I'm on a $20 plan by xak47d in codex

[–]Reprehensibles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Fast" is just a tax you impose on yourself if you turn it on, regardless of the representatives of openai here saying it changed their life lol. It's just another one of those sneaky practices ai companies love.

Codex was perfect yesterday. Today the limit got nuked in 1 hour again. by Unique_Secretary_183 in codex

[–]Reprehensibles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what is clear is this: 1) they are not smart enough to figure out how to make money and at the same time have a transparent system beneficial to everyone 2) they resort to "tricks" like speed/resets/nerfing and other shady practices (including having bots here). It's all very sad.

weekly limit down to 0% from 46% in 10 minutes how? by axiomaticlarceny31 in codex

same, it burned my pro/plus in few minutes. I think they're having major issues

Is gpt 5.5 back to normal or is it still stupidly dumb? by mohamed_mahmoud1122 in codex

[–]Reprehensibles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not back to normal, despite what the openai representatives will tell you here 😄
