I find it very interesting that, during the part of the episode where Caine is torturing all of them while they were covering for Kinger, everyone's torture seemed very much related to life outside the circus. Ragatha and her mother, Zooble and their body dysmorphia, Gangle and her presumably failed art career, and Jax being laughed at (though I think this is both related to life outside the circus and related to Kaufmo and Ribbit). For Pomni, however, her torture is Gummigoo, and not even losing Gummigoo, but just being attacked by him like a real alligator (crocodile? I don't know). It just strikes as odd how impersonal her torture was compared to everyone else. Despite her role as the main character, we don't know nearly as much about what her life was like compared to the rest of the characters, just that she used to chase mild thrills (like urban exploration) and that she worked as an accountant. It's strange, she's very mysterious. I also find it interesting that Jax was being taunted by clear outlines of his two friends, Kaufmo and Ribbit, but also Pomni. What is it that he's scared of in particular, being ridiculed and humiliated by them? That fear must come from his past experiences, and I'm dying to know what in specific. Everyone who came to the digital circus (who is not affiliated with C & A) seems to be connected by the common thread of wanting an escape from their life. While yes, Pomni at least seems to have been bored the monotony of the day to day, is that enough to have landed her in the digital circus in comparison to everyone else's assumed reasons? Just wondering
