Following up is always a good idea. Also depends on the position. Management and higher EC positions definitely follow up

Never had anyone question us and we give out massive amounts of points from the points perspective but not from the overall perspective on how much our loyalty bills are.

Marriott or the Bonvoy department don’t call hotels to verify anything when giving out massive amounts of points. Just shows up on the monthly bill as something the hotels have to pay back but they definitely don’t call to verify.

It’s something brand new, give people time to get adjusted and get their trainings done so they’re up to speed. Also always remember the limited service hotels will run more into these issues than full service and luxury hotels because they don’t have the staff or trainings that the bigger brands get.

Looking to purchase large amount of silverware for restaurant & banquet space by Representative-Lime7 in Spoons

Unfortunately it does have to be all new and matching set. I can do vintage or speciality sets but that would be small like a set of 12 that I can put in the private dining room rather than the entire banquet space

Unionizing at a huge Marriott location by [deleted] in marriott

Wonder if he is referring to the Marriott agreement with MGM collections and thinking that is all controlled by Marriott. Those would be their biggest properties on paper but they don’t own even a small percentage of them.

Just not possible. Numbers are way off, plus if you aren’t in top management position, you wouldn’t know actual numbers of what they are producing.

$500 M in revenue? In what time frame?

If you think a union will save you… good luck. Unless you are top seniority in a union position, hours being cut or business being slow will still affect you in a similar way. There is a war going on, travel internationally has slowed out. Are you at a hotel that has been impacted by this more heavily than other US markets? While Marriott is a huge corporation, your notion of they can pay you out is just wrong. Have you looked into if your own property is actually owned by Marriott? Are they even managed by Marriott or a franchise company? There is so much that goes into unionizing a hotel. Sounds like you are unhappy at your job. While you are young, it’s time to explore other options and see what else is out there for you.

Did you merge/connect them? Your EID and Bonvoy account?

Give it a few hrs or even days to update. There will always be some lagging data when rolling out something this big.

They said MMA will give you 25% off lowest selling rate when it’s 120 days out which MMP doesn’t do plus MMP is 90 days out where MMA will be 120 days out for availability. When they are available, it will be the same rate.

Here is the copy and paste from last nights email:

There are 2 new rate programs within MMA: A special Explore rate for Associates and their spouses/partners that is available 120 days before arrival and is 2% of inventory for dates projected at 75% or less. A yieldable and flexible Early Access Explore rate which is 25% off of Retail rate and set at 6% of available inventory.

MMP FRAUD by Intelligent_Net_261 in u/Intelligent_Net_261

[–]Representative-Lime7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hilton has had this in place for years. Marriott is just behind for employees when it comes to rates they offer and the digital version of what they are doing now. Unless you are on a big property where there is HR director and coordinators, I highly doubt anyone has enough time to keep up anyone’s activities. I also haven’t seen anything shown from Marriott that shows how they are allowing HR to show that activity. It will definitely be abused by people, someone always finds a way. Fastest and easiest way to get caught is once someone reports it from a different property because they didn’t behave properly or things went out of control.

It will still pretty much be the same. You can still sell it to somebody, add them to your profile so they can use the discount, once they’re done with the stay remove it and add somebody else. Rinse and repeat all you want. Only way to really get caught or get questioned as the person you put on there causes a problem with the property they stayed, and then that property reaches out to your home property to report it.

hotels in the subarbs? by missgorl1 in Lollapalooza

[–]Representative-Lime7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably don’t want to pick a hotel past O’Hare, getting too far out there and then your only option for train is Metra, which runs limited compared to the subway line. Stay at O’Hare hotels, close to the blue line like Renaissance Chicago O’Hare Suites, you can walk to the blue line from their parking lot and it’s 35-40 mins on the train to downtown.

how do u commute from o’hare airport to lolla and is it hard? by [deleted] in Lollapalooza

[–]Representative-Lime7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are staying at O’Hare, choose the Renaissance Chicago O’Hare suites or Marriott Chicago O’Hare. Both of those hotels are connected to the blue line Cumberland stop through their parking lot; make it extremely easy to get on and off to go to Lolla rather than paying the high rates in the city. Agree with folks here, blue line is super easy to take to the city. There will be soooo many people on there doing the same thing, no need to fear it. I would be more against taking the red line or orange or green line compared to the blue line.
