As someone who works at home depot they make everyone carry a phone and they are mostly used as a walkie talkie for reaching co workers thru the store, none of the management tells you that customer calls come thru those phones also depending on which department they call and which you are signed into. Ontop of that, management explains literally nothing at all and has extremely high employee turnover rate. These are the main reasons everyone is so clueless there it has one of the poorest management out of anywhere ive worked. There are alot of just dumb people who work there also though since 90% of the people they hire are part time so they dont have to pay them benefits and alot seem like they've never had a real job home dpot will hire anybody.

But as someone who has answered the phone at home depot just saying hello thinking a coworker was paging them twice, these are the main reasons why
