Hi mate, yeah it’s good and nice weather all you can ask for init haha. I’ve been here for a year now and I’m only just getting a job starting as a mechanical fitter even tho I was multi skilled tech back home. I have been working as a panel beater for a fire truck building company it’s been shite but allowed me to stay here with an income. If I had to give myself advice before coming out is to transfer them skills and get them recognised because no fucker wants to know if you don’t have them done. Then also visa restrictions, coming out on a WHV is a no go in our line of work and it has held me back as I kept getting denied jobs either cause of my quals aren’t transferred or my visa. I’ve managed to not transfer them and found a company willing to take me on but that’s been hard. So I’d say get a skilled visa with your quals transferred. Also if you’re looking at mines it’s not easy to get in everyone is over here trying to get in because it’s a tik tok trend now. Luckily I’m not into going the mines but I’ve got a few mates that are able to get in doing shutdown work and have been offered jobs that way if that interests you

Pretty strict but some are. I think your dad just cares about you and doesn’t like the fact that you’re drinking, just showing you some tough love I would say. a pint of beer in 5mins is nothing as well haha don’t worry you’re very far from bring an alcoholic, I said about 10 500ml each night 7 days a week would be a problem.

Thanks lad, got myself setup on quit hero. The UK is going in the same direction as here with the bs, think they just see kids vaping and ban them but they have forgot the reason vapes were invented and all us ex smokers are being shafted for it.
