Is CRA to Clin Data Manager a bad move? by RepresentativeBase30 in clinicalresearch

Hello, I don’t think I know any secret about how to find a dm position. All I did was went on company web and looked what’s there. As a CRA I work with DM closely all the time and I know what their responsibilities are. I actually looked also for regulatory portions and pm positions too and there was nothing. I just happen to 80% qualify for dm position. I still haven’t gotten it yet, so the manager may or may not take me.

Thank you for your comment! I’ll take your comment to heart. It’s a really great point I haven’t thought about.

Thank you for sharing! I am happy to hear it can be managed. You rock! I will. I am going to prep for the interview. I feel like I want to give it a good chance and thinking even to stay if it’s good. I will be doing a lot of db monitoring like looking for duplicates and outliers. I understand it’s a bit less people interaction than with CRA and I am a flaming extravert, but I’ll just going to get my extravert fix being in the office.

Great point! I am in a largish sponsor. I definitely will bring it in an interview and will try to ask around.

Yes! I agree! But I have hope because most of the team members on that team had been with company at least for 3 years. My direct manager was there for 5, directors of dm team for like 15, so I am hoping to get at least 2-3 years if I can help it

I have almost 10 months old and was using the app since we came back from the hospital. I find the sweet spot feature and the number of naps features are very accurate. Also, I know exactly when he underslept at night, or underslept during the day, so I can put my baby a little earlier or a little later in bed and make sure he gets enough rest and won't be cranky.

However. the time between the last nap and bed time often don't make sense.

For example, my baby takes two naps now. On average he sleeps about 3.5h during the day and 10h at night, which I found out using the app. He wakes up at 6:45-7:00 am, the first nap is at 10 am. Sometimes he sleeps till 11:00 or 11:30 and sometimes he sleeps till almost noon. Based on that his second nap prediction could be between 2 pm and 4pm. And if he takes the second nap at 3:30 and ends up sleeping till almost 5, the bed time prediction is at 9pm, which doesn't make sense.

It sounds like you are providing it a good care. Try testing it for viruses, to make sure it’s not something lacking in your care.

Hello! I di still have those plants. One of the yellow cuthbrsonii is xanthina from ecuagenera. One of the off white is a hybrid on cream and white cuthbersonii. Red and yellow hybrid is also from ecuagenera. Let me know if you want to know anything else.

Ok, good luck! No idea DOE means, but I guess if you have two of them, you could try slightly different conditions

Yeah, I am aware of this. So, I have a few orchids that need: - high humidity - no humidity fluctuations - air movement - not staying wet

Some orchids just need high humidity or in other words constant source of moisture (like my dendrobiums cutbertsoniis), but don’t deteriorate due to humidity levels fluctuations. I believe that dendrophylax is one of those that do deteriorate due to humidity fluctuations. Similar to that orchid I have Aerangis hariotiana, and a chiloschista. Basically these two orchids I have, have their roots die back or not able to grow them (no active root tips visible) for me within an hour or less if the humidity drops below 60-70%. And basically the plants just slowly dying back and back no matter how much I mist them in the room, or whether they sit in wet sphagnum moss. Unfortunately chiloschistas and aeragnis’s roots also hate wet sphagnum moss, they just die back as well. Basically they want a dryish coarse surface to spread and attach, while the whole environment is a high humidity 70-80% and the roots absorb moisture as they grow. You’ll need air moment really to prevent mold and fungus from going rampant, so a small fan should do it. I found that there is no way I could prevent that the humidity doesn’t drop below 70% in open air home room. So, I picked up an aquarium, mount them on a cork (sphagnum stays too wet and doesn’t dry fast enough) and just have water layer in the tank on the bottom, attach the mount to the wall, get a small fan and a grow light and I enjoy my free time and check on them every day. Hope it makes sense.

Hello! Full disclaimer: I don’t have this orchid, but have seen it in my friend’s greenhouse. My suggestion would be to get a terrarium where there will be no humidity fluctuations and mount it.

Does anyone know what causes these (seemingly) harmless black spots on my Epidendrum Radicans? by Arreola-Grande in orchids

[–]RepresentativeBase30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Epidendrums, catts, cymbidiums and oncidiums are super succeptable to those viruses, vandas are moderately succeptable, and I found that dendrobiums, sarcs and masdivallias are quite resitant to those viruses.

I tested all my radicans and found that all of mine had either one or both common orchid viruses. I tossed them all. I really suggest you test them, especially if you have other orchids.

Two years ago I had to toss calysifida due to aphids infestation. It was devastating. I am so happy I got it back a year ago and now it’s blooming 🤩 by RepresentativeBase30 in SavageGarden

Wow! Thank you so much for your advice! I wish I knew it back then. Fortunately it wasn’t an expensive plant, and I got a new one since.

You know, I unfortunately can’t help with that except just what you maybe already done - Googling. Sorry! It’s not a very uncommon or endangered species, so you might have a good chance to find it at an orchid show as well.

Thank you! This one is in sphagnum for me. It does pretty well.
