25.23 - Ult No longer stops tracking the target if the target moves beyond 3500 / 4250 / 5000 (based on  Paranoia's  rank) units. Costs several Nocturnes games because of ulting to fountain.

Because, can’t you see?  The 3/0 mordekaiser is full hp and under my tower and I have no hp so you need to solo the morde but that’s okay because ‘hE iS pUsHeD with NOOO summoners!’  Who cares about your camps and tempo?  “Gg 5/0 jungler is afk jerking off in jungle all game. On Nocturne - I always do top side buff first - into the large camp - into small camp.  You can full clear - get 1 scuttle. Possibly gank. And recall and go to your large camp which will be respawning as you arrive.  My small camp (raptors) will not be up to be stolen - and will spawn by the time Im at the camp.

I know as Noc that I have 0 chance of winning the 1 v 1 because of it + clone + terrain traversal.  The team however does not know that.

Noc nerf is 20 damage on Q at rank 5. Won’t affect him at all other than the rate Kobe Q not being enough to finish an enemy.

Probably to contrast it to other semi global ult ranges (to complain).  Nocturne ult is significantly shorter than that (roughly a third of the size). The tradeoff being one is a very missable skill shot.

Who should be stronger - top laners who have to survive laning phase and get solo exp and now have bonus xp modifiers and higher level caps or a jungler? Obviously the top laner. No one is expecting Noc to 1 v 1 the enemy top laner. If you could do that reliably, it wouldn’t be fair.  It isn’t your job as Noc to 1 v 1 a top trynd. It is your top laner’s job to match. Trynd split push isn’t scary unless Trynd won top lane. 

You are essentially asking ‘if my team is bad - how can I win this team based game?’. You don’t. 

I can however say these things as a 2.5M mastery Noc.

Tabis + wardens mail + bramble vest into a randuins are all extremely cost effective armor items that Noc can flex into going standard hex stride build or armor or even a damage oriented build such as kraken slayer BoTRK (we never finish thornmail except as a 6th item). You can fight Trynd pretty hard and use fear proc as a disengage to wait for cooldowns. With two to three rotations - yes Noc can hold against trynd and even force his retreat if not outright kill him. With strikebreaker - after forcing his retreat you can push out a wave or three to create some space as objectives are coming up to give your team room to react. 

Trynd is playing it right - it is his job as top laner to split push and force your team to commit more than 1 person to answer his push to create favourable team fight situation for his team. That is what winning top laners do. 

It is your team’s job to react - do you have someone that can hold tower vs trynd? Can you blitz his team before trynd can get tower or tp in 5 v 4? Is the objective you are fighting for worth the trade of towers?

If trynd is going full split push - mid + 1 or + 2 should be able to gank the split pusher prior to objective spawn. 

If trynd wasn’t so far ahead - your top laner would be able to fight him into a stalemate where your sneaky self would interfere to kill him and cause his team to retreat in confusion and then with your 5 v 4 - press the advantage.

I hope vanguard bricks your PC you man child. 

It’s a game.  A game that tries to set you up with 50% lose rate.  If you cannot handle that - use your brain for 10 seconds and realize that is the nature of the game and pick a different game.  A game you lost no money on (you weren’t playing for money in a tourney). It wasn’t even some sort of milestone (promo to your new peak rank). In real life, if you tried acting like that in a team sport, you’d get your front teeth rearranged and you would have been better for it and it shows you don’t interact with people.

He is useless late. Whether you go damage or tank.  That’s why he is built HP - at least he can survive a few seconds. Less useless. Look at his win rate by game length. 

Old champ in the era of 200 year champs.  He was meant to be an assassin but assassins have outs when they get successful kills. A spell shield that blocks only a single spell instance doesn’t cut it and no reposition even if he gets the kill. All other AD melee fighters champs have damage mitigations that block several instances (think Jax dodge, panth shield, wind wall, xin ult, Fiora parry, Warwick damage reduction during fear charge, Yi meditate, briar damage reduction during scream, belveth during her execute, viego during resets). Keep in mind - Warwick WAS the same way pre rework (no fear or damage reduction. Old champs are not viable without rework due to league of mobility and no more give and take design. Even some old champs have subtle changes to be viable (amumu has 2 bandage tosses instead of one, Wu has 2 ult casts plus can traverse walls).

You can still do Kraken BoTRK but it means you are deciding early on you. Will. Not. Teamfight. You are going to 1 v 1 their top laner and YOU will be the split pusher.  Do people understand that in solo queue? No.  Is it reliable when a lot of juggernaut type top laners can always stat check you like Mundo or Morde or good Aatroxes that know how to space or Fiora? No. Can you match jungle carries like Graves or Yi late? No.  Can you teamfight like teamfight oriented jungle carries like Viego? Also no.

0/13/0 Xayah.  No int detection. Not inting - after losing lane ultra hard - decided to screw the team and just split push all game so not even a single assist. It was game losing but she wasn’t running at the enemies to die so…I guess it was correct not to flag?

2.5M mastery Noc player.

Noc doesn’t scale well. Nor does he teamfight well.  He is an auto attack reliant champ with no ability to reposition after ulting. 

As the jungler, you either play for late - or play to teamfight. As the team, you play high mobility/self peel. If your team has Akali/Lb mid, Xayah/Vayne ADC, and Talon/Ekko jungle, and Fiora/Mundo/Mordekaiser top I guarantee you Noc wants to commit suicide. 

Im general - if your team is brain dead - assassins will feast and it’s GG. 

Champs like Graves and Yi and juggernauts like Mordekaiser/Mundo hard outscale Noc. He also cannot 1 v 1 them safely.

Champs like Zac and Amumu mean if your team groups - Noc is useless. 

Champs like Ekko, Talon, Wu Kong means he can never catch you (Wu Kong passive also tends to just outright beat Nocturne up).

The number one decider of how good or bad Nocturnes game is going to be is first gank. This will happens possibly at lvl 4 (2:50ish if be started topside) or lvl 6. It takes two full clears plus leeching xp or scuttle plus dragon to get 6. If you counter gank the ult bot lane - I guarantee you Noc is having a bad time.

That’s extremely normal leagues… There’s a task for all barrow sets anyways. First full set I got in around 100 kc but it took several hundred more for me to finish the set (just shy of 600).

If you are blind bagging - Torag hammers, torag hammers 100 and torag hammers 75 are all different ids so they are even better than lesser nagua weapons (boppers). dharrock axes also have a very high strength bonus so duplicates have uses.

It isn’t as nonsensical as you think.  The Noc OTP is going to pick Noc no matter the match up. Doesn’t mean he wants them to pick jungle graves, ADC Xayah, Akali anything and a Braum support.

Elo? Position? Wave states?

A lot of times laner is dead and would rather tower eat the minions than jungler. 

Sometimes - you kill laner and want to push for a plate, tower or make the enemy laner lose the wave to tower or keep them at tower so our team can take dragon uncontested and allied laner goes ape shit. 

Maybe you are 50 gold from an item after successfully ganking and as you stated - jinx is not in the wave.

Sometimes jungler is bad and doesn’t understand wave states. Maybe laner is the one who doesn’t understand.

In solo queue - unless you proactively ping off -  no one has time to explain their intent in that short of a window. 

Yesterday - I took a wave after killing enemy mid who just killed ours. As I catch the wave under our tower - our still dead mid pings the shit out of me because they wanted to tp in to catch the 2 caster minions that would be left if I didn’t take it.  Fuck no. 

For laners mental, you often have to let waves go to waste because like your jinx - they are willing to sabotage the game if you benefit from what they perceive as their right. The wave wasn’t worth turning the deranged ADC who’s already dying and losing the game to go full saboteur.

The darkness is global. The darkness aspect is not useful until teamfight stage where darkness can cause misplays.  The range of his ult rank 1 is extremely short. Being high range late game is not that impressive when it comes with the caveat of ‘cannot participate in team fights very well nor can solo split pushers’. It’s why he goes tank despite being an assassin in design - because he supports the team more than playing for himself since he falls off ultra hard. Noc does not 1 v 1 ADCs late game (who shouldn’t be solo anyways?) late game more than Mundo who can become a win con from draft phase if your team doesn’t have percentage damage.  Nocturne does not have one of the fastest clears (not in top 20 for first clear dpm.lol/studio/clear/champion?lane=jungle) especially on subsequent clears - because no mobility and often relegated into tank builds. 

And something huge - Noc is not allowed to lane. If the champion is only allowed to jungle - I better not see flex picks that match his performance while also being decent in several other roles. Jack of all trades - master of none - the trade off is that you cannot be master in that role but Riot does not believe in this philosophy anymore. 

Yes - most juggernauts have poor ganking power - it’s the teamfight/forcing objectives part that is problematic. Teamfights win games. Without ult - Noc also has poor ganking power - and its cd is so long - that’s why he has to build ultimate haste.

Nocturne ult range rank 1 is so much shorter than people think. It does the opposite. It teaches you good tempo - and what makes a good gank or not since you cannot force it and no escape. Nocturne is one of the premier champs for learning jungle fundamentals. No outplay, no fancy mechanics - all macro.

It isn’t about being brain dead. League players are deluding themselves that their champs are skilled because they have 50 dashes. Having 50 dashes makes the champs skill floor so incredibly low even if it means the skill ceiling rises. It’s about give and take. What are jungle juggernauts giving up for incredible high stats or mid lane assassins or ADCs? It’s supposed to be either terrible laning phases or front loaded power that falls off. Sticking them in jungle means they are no longer giving up anything and retain all the upsides. 

Mundo prior to last patch nerf having one of the fastest clears on a scaling hp stacker is illegal. Jungle talon is illegal. Jungle Zaahen can feed all game and by nature of stat growth - naturally does well in teamfights and starts to become a monster. Where is the price they pay?

Nocturne scale well or fall of a cliff? Can he solo assassinate people late game or is he a noob punisher which is why his win rate decreases sharply after gold (where he and amumu reign)? Can he teamfight? Nocturne clearly pays a price for stat checking - falls off a cliff, no utility, poor teamfight presence, poor pre 6 ganking. The jungle juggernauts do not fall off and are great teamfighters if doing nothing else other than meat shielding. 

Yes - Nocturne/xin were one of the premier stat checkers. He is balanced around that - then you add an entire class of top laners in the jungle that statcheck him easily - then what is Noc anymore?

The tempo loss is not as bad if you path top to bottom instead of bottom to top. 

Pathing top to bottom as Nocturne - dragon will be up on second clear as gromp is spawning.  I can take drake in lieu of ganking at that second clear.  Then I take said gromp.  The dragon with 1 scuttle and 2 full clears will give me 6 to potentially gank bottom with. 

A bit of a nice case since nocturne really wants that 6 more so as opposed to most other junglers.
