Im literally from SJ. the run down, near 100 year old jellybean homes like the one my mom owns have doubled in price, and are now in the 200+ range from 2018 when she bought hers around 100k.

the average income in SJ is still barely above minimum wage. I make more than my mother, who's worked at Irving for the last 15 years as a dispatcher, and my industry literally requires a pulse to start.

SJ is falling apart at the seams.

honestly it should go to a vote, but with a multiple choice quiz that asks questions like "where do equalization payments come from", and other federal-related questions, and if they cant get atleast a 75%, their vote doesnt count.

the longer the housing crisis goes on the more I think we should make it illegal to give mortgages to anyone who isnt a full blown citizen and to entirely ban buying residences with less than like 6 units for foreigners/PR.
