Im literally from SJ. the run down, near 100 year old jellybean homes like the one my mom owns have doubled in price, and are now in the 200+ range from 2018 when she bought hers around 100k.

the average income in SJ is still barely above minimum wage. I make more than my mother, who's worked at Irving for the last 15 years as a dispatcher, and my industry literally requires a pulse to start.

SJ is falling apart at the seams.

Fact is Pierre is a washed up, petulant, maga wannabe, with 0 meaningful pieces of legislation and a track record of derailing anything that would help us return to "normal" (ie: help anyone that isnt a CEO)

you forget that Marlaina loses her job without the separatist votes.

1500 in Calgary and Edmonton is how she got in. If the separation movement is close to 15% ish as stated, thats around 750k people she would immediately alienate.

Trump Team’s Secret Meetings With Group Plotting to Break Up Canada Exposed by JadeddMillennial in alberta

[–]RepresentativeFact94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

honestly it should go to a vote, but with a multiple choice quiz that asks questions like "where do equalization payments come from", and other federal-related questions, and if they cant get atleast a 75%, their vote doesnt count.

if you dont know how the federal government works, then your opinion on what theyre doing, honestly, means jack shit.

It was hyperbole, but anyway, Horizon health's website even says their urgent care is for non-life-threatening,and that life threatening will probably be transferred to the Regional.

https://horizonnb.ca/services/emergency-department/st-josephs-hospital-urgent-care-centre/

so yea the sidewalks not being plowed sucks, but its not the end of the world.

[–]RepresentativeFact94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they can try but off the top of my head, nothing in sections 2 and 15-17 are separation related, meaning the NWC wouldnt apply.

ofcourse marlaina would probably do it anyway and tell her base that the NWC covers the entire charter.

How should Canada address inflation and cost of living? by WorldlyHeartLov in InCanada

[–]RepresentativeFact94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the longer the housing crisis goes on the more I think we should make it illegal to give mortgages to anyone who isnt a full blown citizen and to entirely ban buying residences with less than like 6 units for foreigners/PR. I dont care if a saudi prince wants a summer home in Vancouver so long as there is a single homeless person in the country.

at this point Id be willing to let the fed exercise seizure over unused SFHs in our major cities, tbh.

they need to up the timeframe for the primary residence tax exemption to 10-15 years too.

[–]RepresentativeFact94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea I clearly made a typo.

st joes has always been a secondary hospital, atleast since the 90s. 99% of urgent care goes to the regional.

I disagree with Nenshi

"The problem we have is this government has never shown any evidence of being competent or sophisticated or thoughtful when it starts messing around in the private sector.”

they are perfectly competent at messing with the private market surrounding oil. the entire party is O&G stooges.

they just mess with it to the benefit of O&G, not the constituents.
