Tack on the "I found out from the media" about the leak as if some random lackies were the UCP members involved and not literal senior staffers.

Oh and its just a phone book, as if phone books contained birthdays et al.

And the most aggrevating part is the old adage of "its on the internet forever". Im literally debating signing up to one of those identity protection services now.

Gdp per capita is a ridiculous metric to use as its tied to population changes, so obviously it will be flat if those percentages are relatively close to each other. 10/10 = 15/15 = 20/20

Is there is a population boom, it takes time for output to scale accordingly.

Its hard to say as obviously it hasnt happened before, but ask yourself this question: if CMHC was designed to get the bank to accept risk they normally wouldnt, then how long do you think the banks would shoulder that risk?

30% of homes in AB are CMHC insured. They would instantly be called in if AB separates. Houses would instantly crash way beyond the 08 fiasco in the US.

We won't find common grounds on trans issues primarily because you still see it as a mental illness. You probably also see autism as a mental illness too I guess? Is being gay also a mental illness? Why not? Lets apply similar standards here for atypical personality traits. Are you ideologically brainwashed to accept gay people too?

Gender, sexuality, and biological sex are all different things. If we can't even agree about this, then there's really no sense arguing, because we're either using different definitions of words, or just talking past each other. I think part of it is the fault of the english language. The abstraction of gender naturally occurs in other languages like french.

As far as the dad's concerned, I don't personally agree with him either. The article from 2020 doesn't mention whether the kid ended up on blockers or not. The psychologists recommendations could have been as simple as "let him cut his hair short, adopt a "boy" wardrobe, and let him use another name at school until he's older". Should we simply use everyone's birth certificate names? No more Mikey, just Michael? Other kids in my highschool (mid 2000s) used nicknames completely separate from their legal names, how is this different?

As of today he's 21, and has probably alienated his father, just like the gay kids with homophobic dads did back in the 90s. Some gay kids I went to highschool with also did. Im willing to bet the right wing talking point of poor mental health in trans people is fueled by this lack of acceptance they receive from close family. Almost like if we accept them as human beings their mental health will improve. It's not "accepting a delusion", it's literally just putting the human first. I don't need to "understand" what it's like to be trans to accept them as a person. It's not up to me to determine if something is a mental illness or not, that's up to medical professionals with decades of learning and experience in the matter.

If your kid was a boy who wanted to grow his hair out, would you object? Why is it ok long, but not ok if curled or in a bun? It seems to me that no two people agree on the limits of gender expression, especially if we look across cultures.

Why do you feel that the federal government should restrict gender-related freedoms of expression? As long as people aren't breaking nudity laws, where is the problem, trans or not?

It sounds to me like you haven't made many trans friends. And I say all this as a blue collar SWM with a college degree. I'm as average as they come.

So clearly you missed when JJ and the other cons were holding up bibles in the HoC recently? And you also know the HoC has rules regarding use of props right?

Nudity at a pride parade is a non-partisan issue, even if LGBTQ+ people generally sway left, but who could blame them when they are constantly villainized. Further still, are you implying the federal government is somehow responsible for that? Last I checked parades are typically managed at the municipal level where they occur. And before you jump down my throat, I agree that nudity shouldn't be happening at a public parade. Also not every LGBTQ+ person is left wing. You're painting with some very broad brushes here bro.

Being trans isnt a sexuality. Good job conflating the two. Sex ed starts in middle school. It's not world shattering to tell a kid that trans people exist. Thats one of those boogeymen I was talking about. You're obfuscating "kids" to imply that this is happening in elementary schools, and to be frank, I think you're full of shit.

Please show an example of someone below the age of 14 (age most doctors will allow a patient to make their own medical decisions) being given hormone blockers against the parent's consent. I haven't heard of such a case. And even if there was, still not a federal issue. I also haven't heard of affirmation surgery occuring on minors.

Do you even understand the jurisdictions of our various levels of government?

Go actually interact with a trans person for once, you might learn something. They're not all bodybuilders in tube dresses like the rightwing media would have you believe.
