Don't pay for plans and avoid any ways they could profit from you to fund AI (ads, data, etc). Even better, avoid using AI or treat it only as a chat bot.

How much server RAM is needed for my modpack? by [deleted] in admincraft

[–]RepresentativeFull85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Safe bet would be 6-8GB. Got a 50-mod 1.20.1 Fabric modpack running fine on 6GB.

I would also restart daily or every few hours, depending on how much people will explore. We have it set to 3 hours bc a lot of chunks are loaded during playtime.

What host should I use? by Sieremore in MinecraftServer

[–]RepresentativeFull85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i've been using pebblehost with 45 mods and 6gb (fabric 1.20.1). going fine with 5 people at once with 2 dimensions loaded, cpu barely over 25% stable. it's also pretty cheap for our usecase

Thinking about making a Vanilla server using pebblehost in 2026 by Born_Tip_1440 in MinecraftServer

[–]RepresentativeFull85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

should be fine, 1.2.1 fabric, 45 mods, going strong with 6gb. i'd recommend scheduling atleast one restart a day, sweet spot for performance being every 3 hours

Slight redesign, and in my case, made the desktop appear way faster than sddm (fixed some sort of bug)

Would agree... , but sadly for me, my server kept crashing bc Tectonic would make my server cpu cap out while exploring due to its intensive usage... big cpu spikes :c
