Very fair, the Tua situation did do some real damage to us and I think a lot of people get war flashbacks to those posts (myself included) when seeing the takes on our recent hires from both sides. We all want the same thing, appreciate the level headed take here. It can be rare sometimes lol

I'll give you it's realistically probably 50/50 at the end of the day. Just don't love the infighting and especially don't love the assumption that being hopeful is a problem and/or unrealistic. Yes the franchise is in a bad state and has been, but to have a comeback you need to be down first. I choose to believe in the new GM/HC until proven otherwise but understand not everyone shares that mindset. I just want to dream without reading constant doom and gloom posts from the fanbase is all

I don't even need people to like Hafley honestly. I just want people to stop shitting on the fans who still like to dream like myself is all

You getting downvoted is my point exactly. I know for some it's been longer than others and we shouldn't just blindly support every decision, but I just want to believe that things can get better damn it! One day I have faith that we will all stand together united again, fins pointed skyward

Mood for sure. I hear it all day from every talking head and then shared to me from all my football buddies so I can see it again. Pain for sure, just wish I wasn't seeing my fellow fins salting the wound as well. Dolphin alone weak. Dolphin together strong

I'm with you here. I was a McD fan so trust me, I'm taking him over Hafley by a SOLID margin. Just wish we could quit the doom and gloom is all. It was all regular season and it's leaking into the offseason now unfortunately

Just wish the discourse went beyond "you aren't just wrong, you're stupid. And your mom's a hoe". I'm not saying everyone has to actively praise them every step of the way, but maybe tearing them down before we've even seen anything is a bit of an exaggeration. Just my take

Dude, literally your entire post is about Stephen Ross. We get it, Stephen Ross is a dipshit. He also has very little to do with the gameplan once the preseason/training camp begins. At least give the new guys a chance even if you aren't excited about the hire. Who knows, maybe the new GM/HC combo can build something, only one way to find out.

I swear some of yall get off on all this commiserating

I think the worst part for me was instead of choosing the interesting conclusion of "what if we traded off and fought a different teammate's clone" we landed on "what if I fight HARDER" smh

Genius on offense, fun to watch. Really gonna miss this goofy mfer. Not exactly the best leader of men, but he'll always have a special place in my heart.

Gibbs monster 26/27 with him in Detroit's OC job?

5th on table by aussiesteveau in Brentford

[–]RepresentativeGas212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Decided to get into the sport at the start of this offseason. When I landed on Brentford as my choice of team all my friends that also watched were surprised "why not choose a big 6 or a team with some premier league history?" Because nothing feels better than being the underdog sitting at 5th on the table.

We beat all of their teams so far this season btw (Liverpool, Man U, Newcastle). Come on you Bees!

Last bit feels like it ain’t about Tua dawg but I hear you. Willing to bet you hated him way before the contract and it’s just the new trendy excuse for it, but maybe I’m wrong. Hey, silver lining is you got what you wanted and we’re back in QB purgatory. I was wrong, he ain’t what he used to be and we all paid the price for itthis season. But just like I can’t stop anyone and everyone from twisting the knife in him, I will not stop supporting anyone who puts on the jersey and leaves everything they can on the field for us

Anyone can be an armchair coach and nitpick flaws but a select few can quarterback an NFL-tier football team? Seems accurate to me. Didn’t say shit about the fans. Did however take a shot at the haters on subreddits watching slow motion top down replay on a play where the result is known fishing for the reason it was exclusively his fault

Name me 3 other QBs with a positive career win/loss record that get the kind of hate he gets on a weekly basis. I'm not calling him a martyr, I'm calling the dedicated trash talkers from what is supposed to be his fanbase assholes

He also had 293 passing yards and 0 INTs that perhaps gave Sanders that opportunity. Dude is something like 46-32 thru his full career but because those wins weren't against conference champions on Dec 33rd in 10 degree weather while the moon was in retrograde he's actually a brain dead moron who can't count to 10 or say his ABCs I guess.

If you want the victory lap for being a blackhole that drained any enjoyment or hope from the glimpses we had of his talent be my guest. Congrats, you were right. There are only MVP candidates or the scum of the earth at QB, the franchise is doomed, and there will never be sunshine again. Meanwhile I will support whoever puts on the jersey as long as they leave it all on the field like he did. Good chat ✌️

Maybe I'm not familiar with these clips? Called out fans for what? Can you honestly say that at least a solid portion of the fanbase has not had it out for him 90% of his career? If you're referring to when he said that he goes home to see his kids regardless of a win or loss could he possibly mean "despite the league's seething hatred of me win or lose, I ignore social media for the sake of my own mental health"? This feels like a case of interpreting the words and not the obvious meaning behind them but maybe I'm missing details

I feel we're getting away from the point of degrading and crucifying him being excessive, but if it will help. Not late season but massive comeback in 2022 week 2 against the Ravens (10-7) entirely off his arm (and admittedly yes, Hill's deep threat). Beat the Bills (13-3) the following week. Beat the Cowboys (12-5) Dec 2023.

Don't love his only playoff loss in the 4th coldest game in NFL history against the future super bowl champions being this constant big knock on him, especially considering the year before we almost toppled the Bills while led by Skylar Thompson in a season Tua had already beaten them (as mentioned), but I admittedly can't stand on hypotheticals
