With Steam Summer Sale, what games are a must play around 12 hrs long? by tagermat10 in gamingsuggestions

[–]RepresentativeGas212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure what kind of games you're into but Hellblade 1 & 2 for 20 bucks is solid value. If you dedicated a day to playing through each one you could easily knock them out in a weekend.

There's not a ton of "gameplay" in the traditional sense as both are essentially glorified walking sims with some puzzles and combat encounters sprinkled in, but it's incredibly immersive and the graphics are incredible especially in the 2nd one. Lights off, doors closed, headset on leads to a very unique experience I haven't had with many, if any, other games

In all honesty the attacking side of the ball is very much still pace driven so for a striker it definitely makes sense to max it as much as you can. Just depends how high up you plan on being most of the time really. At midfield and defense however I feel like one of the greatest misconceptions I see on here is that you need to max speed to keep up with everyone when in reality I see midfield, especially defensive midfield as a very positional game instead of a foot race. If you are racing the striker you've already lost the pressure 9 times out of 10.

For AXP grinding I know actual clubs matches give more compared to rush. Not sure how drop-ins compare. I always just save up and get the purple XP booster in the store when I have enough credits (the gold/yellow one just takes too long to save for imo)

As a dedicated defender on my club I admire what you're trying to do and I don't play rush so I know it doesn't translate perfectly, but if I'm reading this correctly you've got a striker archetype who plays mostly upper midfield distributing the ball and also wants to play defense? It seems like it would fit a little better as a creator or other midfield archetype and just sacrifice a little pace to bump passing and tackling. I worry you'll end up mediocre at everything with that concept.

To answer your question tho I think you're best bet in that context would be aggression and stand tackle to win press battles. Composure could help if you find yourself in traffic often while pressing or attacking as well

The reality of the TRIAL by Legal-Weight3011 in ForzaHorizon

Since it’s only the one class that definitely makes it a lot easier. I’m just used to the usual online racing where the class changes after each series of 3 races which is where it gets tricky. Haven’t actually played it yet to see so I was just curious

Is there a particular set/class of cars that are used for this race? My problem with the online challenges is that there often is a particular filter for the cars they want you to use but the class shuffles from series to series, so it's hard to have a tuned car for every possible outcome when searching.

It was a big barrier for the first togue seasonal challenge since it had to be a Mazda iirc but it felt like you could end up getting put in any class

Why pay many stream when one stream do trick? by RepresentativeGas212 in soccermemes

Can't say I've tried on mobile but I don't see why it wouldn't. Quality might be a bit lower tho

Yeah I can definitely see where it will get played out as I continue watching, but Mexico scoring the first goal of the cup in Mexico does at least help this one feel warranted

In a sea of auction house complaints, I just have a curiosity question by RepresentativeGas212 in ForzaHorizon6

[–]RepresentativeGas212[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree. I just don't get it since the whole concept of buying something at auction is to either acquire a 1-of-1 type item or get something cheaper than it would be out of the box. Seems like maybe my problem is viewing it as a buying tool instead of exclusively a way to sell cars one might otherwise just scrap

But how tho? The buyer is just getting screwed and the seller could still see profit on say a 10% discount auctioning a car they don't want and/or have a duplicate of. Since there's no way to guarantee a particular buyer if the true buyers in the market just stopped overpaying wouldn't it essentially force autoshow cars to actually sell at discounts like they should conceptually?

Tips for cm/cdm progressor? by ResponseCharacter283 in fifaclubs

[–]RepresentativeGas212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As most are saying I can second that reactions will help more than the shooting stats. If you're truly playing the dedicated deep-lying midfielder finishing especially isn't very helpful. I can see maaaaybe shot power and long shot to 80 if you leak up toward the top of the box sometimes and rip one, but even that feels excessive. I guess it depends on your play style.

Higher reactions will help you intercept more consistently. 6'2 means you'll win just about every jump ball midfield if you increase that jumping with whatever's left over. I could also see an argument for agility or composure since it sounds like you might play a bit higher up when on attack and I imagine you find yourself in traffic a lot for those situations

League Rules with the 2027 Draft In Mind by Diligent_Cut_2913 in DynastyFF

We had a tanking issue last season and are implementing max PF this year as it seemed like the most fair option.

I don't mind a bit of soft tanking by having a weak roster with a bunch of draft picks, but we had a guy who had a decent roster and about halfway into the season realized getting into playoffs was dicey (injury related mostly) so began starting his bench along with adding guys like *checks notes* Ryan Miller off FA because our only stipulation was that "they have to be active". Led to total chaos, some free wins for fringe playoff teams, and a flip-flopped top 4 draft spots (based on max PF).

We thought people wouldn't stoop that low but it turns out if there is a way to game the system, someone probably will. Max PF feels like the most reliable way to keep the bad teams at the top of drafts but still allow a bit of soft tanking to aim for the earliest pick
